Daytona Grey Paint Correction

Hello All,

I've ordered a Daytona Grey A4 Avant, as you can appreciate sometimes even new cars come with minor marring and imperfections. What compounds/polishes and pads do you recommend for a DA polisher ? New to Audi paint so thought I'd ask people who've been there and done it. I've asked them not to wash the car at the dealership but we shall see.

Thanks

Minor imperfections and swirls - For me it's CarPro orange pad and some Essence by the same company. Will take out minor swirls and scratches, and leaves behind a ultra hydrophobic surface that lasts ages, you can use "Fixer" if you don't want the hydrophobics. Very forgiving to work with in both cases, even in direct sunlight. For heavier defects I prefer a microfibre pad on hard Audi paint. For more conventional and widely available polishes try Scholl S20 or Sonax Perfect Finish - both all in one products, as it will take out 2500 grit scratches easily, and finishes down beautifully. Even good in direct sunlight.

Any Pictures of the results from the Carpro Essence ? Looking at the reviews it seems an excellent product

No sorry. The car has ceramic coating and various toppers over the essence, so wouldn't really be a true representation.

have had the same paint for 4 years now... orange pads and essence is great, for bigger defects i use scholl s3
