Has anyone had their 3 year service done? Just contacted my local indy and he said because of my low miles (8,000) it's just an oil/filter and a pollen filter change.

Just want to make sure everything is right, as if I do keep the car I'll be throwing an Audi extended warranty on it so don't want to give them any excuses.

What miles do they change other things such as plugs, air filter etc?

Not sure on air filter but spark plugs on my S5 is 36,000 miles

I'm interested in this. I currently have an A5 Sportback S-Line on lease (incoming A4 Avant S-Line on order). I've 8k miles. Second anniversary is in July. Hoping it will be a simple service. Out of interest, how much have you been quoted for a oil/filter and a pollen filter change?

Cheers mate, wasn't sure if the plugs/air filter etc were dependent on miles/years etc.

Hope you are sitting down mate!!!

Is your mmi also showing inspection? It should do at 24 months!?!? Audi last year for the 2nd year oil & filter, pollen filter and inspection wanted £452 :wtf: I used an indy and paid just under £200 for the above! (minus the pollen filter as it was low miles and not needed). It's an option so don't let them blag you into buying one, think Audi charge about £50 for it!

He's just quoted me £277 for this years oil & filter change, pollen filter and MOT.

A lease is also on my options list if I can't get a car in time...who do you use? I saw a good deal on a TT with tax, sericing, tyres, maintenance included for £1k down and £357 a month doing 10,000 mile per year which is more than enough for me.

WOW!!!! I'm a month away from 24 months. Plus I have to get x4 new Continental ContiSport 5 tyres. This brand is the softest rubber I've ever had, 8k miles and maybe another 1k left in them. Previously, Michellin I got circa 40k miles and Goodyear F1 Eagles circa 25k.

PCH leasing - I got this A5 Sportback 40 TFSI S-Line for £305 a month on a 3+23 via a broker, financed via VWFS on 6k a year miles. I had the option in January to extend for £240 for another year from July (via VWFS) but I forgot and the seven day offer passed. I now have it on the same terms until January under its Covid existing customer offer.

I've an A4 Avant 35 TFSI S-Line on order (Audi only offer the 35 engine in a manual) for £258 a month on the same 3+23 on 6k miles. I went via Gateway4Lease, funded by Lex. The Black Edition was even cheaper by £5 a month (all this at the start of May). Lex giving bigger support to the higher Black spec than S-Line and the worst offers on the lower Technik and Sport. I could have optioned Comfort and Sound for an extra £12 a month (usually circa £50), but when I read on these forums Audi has taken out a CD player (and in turn no ripping to its hard drive; plus no SD card slot) I didn't bother. Back to plugging in an old iPod again! Also, reviews of the upgraded sound system are hit and miss on here.

I missed out on amazing A6 Avant offers in January - circa £300 a month for S-Line.

Have a look at PistonHeads website for its leasing deal thread. Not many deals out there at the moment. Also Leaseloco website (a comparison site); Leasing.com too. You'll get ideas of other websites people post offers to for other brand of cars and just keep looking and looking. My current A5 I got via SelectCarLeasing.com two years ago. Both Select and Gateway4Lease I highly recommend. Both with low (Gateway was £199) fees.

I know what you're saying mate, 3mm on my fronts in less than 6,000 mile https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/2-0-petrol-front-tyres.400982/ I managed to drag them out for 2 months until after my service last year, cost for 2 was £280 from the indy that did the service...good price by the way!

Yeah I've been looking at SelectCarLeasing.com, lease does seem a cheap way to go and not having to worry about selling/depreciation, maybe I just worry too much about change over of cars etc. I did call them and ask 'do you drop one off at the same time you collect the other', they said no! That's a worry for me as I need a car for work. I think I'd pay the maintenance as it's completely worry free then.

Once you order the car can you say when you want it, or is it a case of them saying your car is ready you are getting it X? My worry is I wait and then they say it's a factory order and it will be too late.

I did see the A4 offer BE which I thought isn't bad all in...but the A4 is even bigger than my A5 coupe lol!

Even your rear tyres are low? When I changed the fronts the rears were still on about 5mm! Wonder why your rears have gone as well???

The conclusion with my fronts were I do a lot of stop start short trips and it's a big heavy car, so all the weight is forward when breaking and obviously pulling when accelerating = quick wear.

I'm glad it's not just me! I've swapped back wheels to the front and vice verser to even them out for their final run before they need replacing.

Secret to leasing is get a two year deal, return the day or so before it needs its first service and avoid the options list - you don't want to give the first buyer free upgrades! You can time it to have the new car when you still have your old. I was on a PCP (worst ever but just the one) before I switched to PCH. Selling my PCH car, I bought it and flipped at a profit to the trade via Wizzle. This PCH (they say you can't buy the car at the end) but I've been offered it by VWFS for £21,150. For an A5 Sportback 40 TFSI S-Line with 8k miles (18 plate), that is top end condition for a private buy. Not a bargain. I wouldn't have bought it but good to know on how much they wanted.

Is the A4 bigger han your A5 coupe? They're exactly the same platform and size, no? The A5 Sportback is the same size as the A4 Avant in length

Ahh that's the problem with switching tyres, all 4 need doing at the same time.

Yeah I was looking over 2 years, mainly on the side that if anything happens with work 2 years is obviously better than 3! Again with the options, I wouldn't bother, looked at one deal and just for an option on colour it jumped by about £18. That's not a bad price for yours. This 2.0 petrol A5 coupe s-line comes in at £19k if I want it in September, 3 years old then and only 8,015 on the clock, not bad as I'm being offered between £19k-19,600 from buying sites now, so if you add at least 10% onto that which is what they would do = £20,900-£21,560 (I owe £20k as of today).

I'd probably go for the maintenance pack as well, no worries if anything pops up then, on the TT it was £20 per month x 24 if putting in 10k per year, bargain I think because the first service is over £200. So take that £200 from the £480 = £280, divided that by 24 month is £11 a month to cover tyres etc. I'd probably set it at 10k to start, due to this covid we may take holidays in this country next year, when I used the S3 to go up to Scotland I was hitting a few thousand each week! So don't want to go too low.

Yeah strangely the A4 is slightly longer than both the A5 coupe/sportback!:

You could be on to a good thing buying and flipping your car in September, although right now I think the market is too saturated.

I had a 2014 Jaguar XF R-Sport before my A5 Sportback. I bought it from PCP as my A5 was delayed with all the WLTP delays at the time. I taxed it for six months and MOT'd it. I had 'free' motoring with it between February > July 2018.

When I came to sell it I looked for the top private buying price (the car was immaculate with 18k miles); looked at the average main dealer forecourt price and the non-franchise price. Pitched to sell it between the middle>top end of the non-franchise forecourt price and the bottom-end > middle of main dealer price and posted it on Wizzle. It gave a margin of profit for all involved, especially with a private dealer having to warranty it. It's the trade who are on Wizzle. I flipped it with a £1,400 profit after five months of using the car. A non-franchise dealer driving from Yorkshire to London to buy it. He had a quick look round, phoned his business partner, transfered the funds and off he went. It lasted 10 days on their website until it sold!

I know what you're saying, but I don't know if I could be bothered buying it and then selling it, if I buy it means I need to service it and mot it, get breakdown cover and then try to sell it in time for another car coming. And then run the risk of getting less than what I paid for it to get rid! If I do lease at least I can just say the car goes on this day (end of pcp) and I want the lease car that day...No hassle. It would be OK if I had another car to use between buying/selling/delivery of new but I don't.

Audi have a good service deal for the first two services of the car. The bit that baffled me is that neither include a Brake Fluid service. And having no Brake Fuild change in over 3 years didn't sit well with me. So I went to an indy who matched the Audi price but included the Brake Fluid service too because his 24month service schedule for this car showed that it was due.
