Audi Saloon and Avant Mirrors

Hi All

I own an 2011 Black Edition Avant and I'm looking to convert my mirrors to power folding since the drivers mirror has packed up heating

I have found a folding mirror online for sale however it's from a saloon, are they the same between the Avant and Saloon?

All help/assistance is much appreciated
 
Usually they're different in 99.9% of chassis, without checking etka couldn't be 100%
 
Most likely the same. You will need more than just the mirror to have them power folding.

I purchased a saloon mirror which are the same size, however it was falsely listed as power folding

Seantdi, I know what you mean, I’ve found a few forum posts with advise, I’m buying the bits one at a time because I think my door modules are supported, at least if not I have only brought one mirror

Are you able to PM me some images, Is it also heated as I thought the facelifted 2011 models all had heated mirrors?
 
It's only a base. No cover or indicator. I have a glass that is heated and dimming also.

If the heating is not working in your own you can get a new glass off ebay for less than 20 quid

Ok, I only asked the question because I thought the wiring is different between heated and non-heated
 
Ya non heated probably won't have the wiring for heated. I thought heated mirrors was standard on the b8 model. Never seen one without to be honest. The folding ones are different wiring again.
 
Mine has heated mirrors but thought the earlier ones didn't, I was wondering if your mirror bases had the wiring for heated mirrors
