Hi guys, what are your thoughts of the Revo Performance Pack? They claim around 400HP and 550NM of torque producing a 0-60 time of 3.6seconds. The cost is high though at £2500 without fitting i imagine. Has anyone purchased this and is there a cheaper way of getting my 8V S3 to 400HP?

Cheers

Plus you’ll need a cat or de-cat pipe.
As revo don’t make their own!

Those figures are stage 2 figures on APR. if £2500 + vat is right for that then it's a steal. Payed way over that for APR stage 2.

And if your car is a manual, going on other peoples experience, you'll need to upgrade your clutch too.

I thought it was quite expensive!!. How much did you pay for stage 2 with APR?

About £7500 roughly without cosmetic parts added. Had to get an RTS clutch and DMF fitted after stage 1 as Sachs failed on me. I do have a CAT back milltek fitted. Bumps it up a bit.

How much HP is your car producing? Have you had it dyno'd? Any regrets?

Yes had it dyno'd at the end of last year. 402bhp and 560nm tq. Only regret is buying a manual S3.

Great numbers there mate. What 0-60 times are you getting?
Never tried a launch for 0 - 60. Really should do. Might do it at some point. Safe to say it will be quick.

The cheapest way to get close to 400 is an uprated intake and a MRC custom tune on 98 ron fuel. This will set you back in the order of about 1200 quid and will see you to about 380 ish. You could save a bit more if you went down the OEM intake mod route instead, which requires a performance panel filter (about 40 quid), some hacking of the plastic intake at the front of the car, and a bigger airbox to turbo inlet pipe (about 200).

Then an uprated clutch for a manual (essential), or gearbox tune for an auto (not entirely necessary but recommended)

In order to run even more boost to get 400 and beyond you will have to do the exhaust side too otherwise there is too much back pressure (downpipe and sports cat minimum) and that is quite expensive. DP / with sports cat are in the order of 700 quid plus fitting which is about 4 to 5 hours work.

So yeah not cheap but definitely worth it.

Mine came in at 390 break on a very hot day. Its felt quicker over winter. I've seen a fraction under 4 seconds doing a fairly quick but not balls out launch (which I would never do since mine is also a manual and a proper launch is a transmission wrecker)
