Park Assist (PLA) Coding

Why don't you trust it? It does the steering for you but you are still in control of the movement so there's not really any risk!

To be fair it's the one feature that is practically useless unless you really can't reverse park for toffee. In which case park assist plus might make a better hash of it. If it had access to VCDS I'd share the coding but it might be worth considering that we drive on the "wrong" side of the road.

It's a convenience feature. I can park perfectly well, but it's nice to have, and not all that expensive once you've got all the sensors back and front anyway. It can handle either side of the road though if you use the indicators (though it defaults to left if you don't).

I use it all the time. In the facelifts it constantly monitors for available parks so you don't even have to activate it to search!

hi y´all, sorry to bother you with such a stupid question, but Ive spent several hours doing reverse engineering, reading forums for weeks, and working like a horse, now this frustrates me.

attached an auto-scan. long story short:
Im retrofitting my a3 8v with a new 5Q0 919 298H and after everything is installed, the m...fkr tells me he wont accept any coding: 31-error, coding rejected (with VCDS last version, original cable HEX2)

looks like its a brand new module, (not used) but i have read everywhere the park assist module/gateway doesnt come with CP.... so, now Im clueless how to code it.

for some reason, it has taken the adaptations wheel circ. I´ve sent thru VCDS, but doesnt like the long coding..

any ideas for my next step? puting some fuel below the car, and a match will probably be the best one!

after removal of both connectors T26, and T18, and connecting them back in,
ave sent a Long Coding type: 0031xxxxxx and had worked.

but now, im struggling because if I drive my car, and reduce speed, after speed is reduced below 15 km/h, system starts to beep (currently have disconnected the front sensors, and I will punch the bumper once everything works from the outside.
After beeping I have 2 choices, either hit the button of park sensors, or accelerate further (sometimes the second is not possible!)

I necropost here just say, after 4 years, Audi USA finally brought "Park Assist" to the A3 for the 2019 model year.

you have a few errors in the gateway module that need fixed. Is it code for things you don't have?

Have you wired the button for parking in correctly? It says there's an open circuit. There are 2 wires you need to add. one for switch and other for the light.

Yes i did 2 wires

T20/13 to T/26/14
T20/3 to T26/3

But i did found out there was allready a wire on T26/14 a black wire so i add on the existing cable

My old one were black, new grey, with extention a (same partnr with an extra A. )

If you needed to change ABS byte (26??) to 50 0r F0 to make it work you have the right ones.

Try using the indicator pointing the parking place..It might be a setting in your pla module picking the wrong side of the road. (uk/eu)
