Have you checked the alternator is charging the battery

could be a bad ground, even though the car is parked certain systems like the alarm is still on and a bad ground has that effect, disconnect the negative terminal and put it back on, if there is a big spark then something is drawing too much power

When I got mine fitted it always had a live feed going to it instead of turning of and on when the ignition was turned on or of and would drain the battery every few days unless started.

I think the issue could be DashCam dependent depending on what cam you have installed and how much it drains over period of time mine is Nextbase 312 g some models obviously drain more than others I would say.

Did a 12 mile trip down A48M / M4 to clear engine & charge battery . ( On my own no contact ). Parked up 6pm 13.14v. 10am today 12.5v ,so .64v loss in 14hrs . Will try clamp meter today.

Nothing found with clamp test . Minute readings across some fuses. Removed No16 fuse [Magnetic Fan Clutch] & both fans run constantly .

Original battery back on, using my bike charger /tender ,battery fully charges if disconnect battery terminal but doesn't get final [green] light if fully connected , so something is having a cheeky spike somewhere . Cheers for your support MPH .

So , yesterday , with my battery reconnected & the bike charger attached I connected a voltmeter across it, & started pulling out fuses from the door side fuse box one at a time to see which circuit was using power . No power loss fuse back in . Tried fuses 24-44 first all good , then started on 1-23 . All good until I got to No. 15 . BINGO . With No. 15 out the battery voltage stopped dropping & started to charge up . This fuse is stated as supplying "Automatic transmission , instrument panel " . [my car is manual transmission ] . With this fuse out I get "FUSE" on my dash above the mileage . Battery held at 12.7 volts overnight .

So my question is does anyone know what it does in my instrument panel [dash] . PLEASE .

With 15 out ,when I turn the engine off the tacho stays @ tickover reading . Turn ignition on & it zeros' .
