Well that s a bit much anyway for my car I m looking to get close to 170 bhp or 180 and torque not more than 370-380. I must say that I ce checked their webpage and this came up stage 1-206 bhp and 400 something newtons
I'll never understand this practice of £460 for snake boxes when I can get a remap for under £280 with before and after Dyno Dynamics runs and print outs .

A mate had his new AMG GLC 63S mapped by Acid at MSL .
£800 !! He doesn't do over 60 and I told him the next service or two might update the software and wipe the remap .

These times we re living now make no sense to spend £500 on a car as I m a simple car bloke only one that works and provides nothing big just the best I can. Have a family and pay for all bills makes me think twice on how to spend some money I don t really have. So I m not in such a stage on my life to put £800 on a tune but if he can good for him everyone do whatever they want but got your point.Adi

I fitted a "plug and play" DTUK box to my 140 B7. It felt better, might have been psychological but it felt better.
When I removed my EGR valve I needed the light coding out so went for a remap.
The first thing the guy said to me when he saw my car "have you got a tuning box fitted?" I asked him how he knew and he said it's your sooty valance and smoke on acceleration. He said all they do is over fuel the engine.
Proper re-map all the way, mine was £150, now doing 170, far more responsive with a fuel saving too.

Hi I can t make any comments on changing turbo and stuff but for obvious reasons a bigger turbo and an intercooler in some good hands are the way forward but cost wise I m sure a remap is cheaper. Depends what you re ready to put down£££
That is a hell of a power I crease claim, 72 bhp on the same turbo and injectors. I would have thought o my possible with a mechanical upgrade too.
Pure fiction mate , study their website when the dyno chart is available , 9/10 their dyno over reads , so for example a 134 does 150 stock , so the result is over inflated , yet the difference is from 134...criminal...

They’re all just generic files from the likes of Celtic and all the others that will come to you. You pay nearly as much as a proper job with no way of knowing what’s been done or what power your achieving or if it’s even within safe parameters for your engine.
I’d use bobby if I was down south. My mates just bought a 330d mapped by him. I’m yet to go out in it but by all accounts it’s a clean smooth map that pulls well with next to no smoke. Other than that I’d only really be looking at darkside or unicorn motor developments if your up north. Bobbys rep proceeds him so it’s all about how it drives with him, and I don’t think you’d be disappointed. The other 2 have very good reps and have dynos for before and after figures. Have a watch of some videos on darksides YouTube channel. They don’t hide anything and tell you exactly what goes into modifying and re mapping diesels. It’s a bit of an eye opener at times, educational and also an enjoyable watch.

Funny that I m really watching their vlogs/videos on youtube. And yes Bobby was my choice from beginning but I kind off missed an opportunity ( it s hard to find the sweet spot when comes to tune/remap your car isn t it?)

Dyno figures are great for social media and gives a rough idea. However, the truth is that dyno figures are mostly used as marketing tool. Bottom line is you have to respect lambda, boost, EGT's and emp, other than that the car makes whatever it makes on whoever's dyno.
VNT within the turbo has a limit of 900deg continous, now I've seen tunes from some mentioned in this thread whereby all protection maps (oil, coolant, egt, intake temp etc etc) are all turned off. Why are they turned off? because when tuning they rather not spend the time calibrating accurately and secondly they don't want the limiter kicking in during their markets dyno pull's or thirdly they just turn them off because they have little idea why are they in place.
If you really want to know how quick your car is then do a timed run before and after, something like a 100 to 200km/h test.

Anyway more truthful quote around 290 lbft anyway which isn't an issue for a healthy 240mm clutch .
The marketing..
Has anyone genuinely been mapped by Darkside to be promoting them; took two days to make mine a laggy underpowered mess which was fortunately put right by Unicorn (no doubt others are also good. Darkside are second to none for parts and labour but no idea what they're doing with a computer, meshes with Darkside's foundations really always been a hardware company not software).
They did have the most uneven mountainous torque spikes that would destroy a clutch in a week as they pushed for figures .

Feel free to be a guinea pig, bit optimistic coming from someone who's been posting and slating their work, guess this is just more online flattery with no experience.
Show progression, been their old and new facility theirs a reason they put customer cars behind locked gates.
