as above trying to find exact year my A4 was built so i can get the correct front lower arm set as i believe theres two types and mines a 2010 registered car but wanted to confirm the build date instead?

Is it the model year you need or the actual "date of build" - if it is the date of build, any dealer could tell you that or you could ask a dealer's parts department for a print out of "CAR DATA" for your car either by UK reg or VIN, I did that years ago, a very handy bundle of facts to have in a car's later life.
Cheers pal just checked it and the letters come up BA but B is the tenth digit, going off that above though says its 2011 and my car was registered on the road in sept 2010?
Yes that will be right, my car is a 2016 model year but was also registered in 2015.
Manufacturers start the new model build halfway through the previous year, confusing I know but yours will be an MY11 model
