1k0 or 8p0 as latter is the correct one.

Assume you coded engine 01 aswell as 16.

Hey Kevin,

Have a little read of this retrofit guide (if you haven't already) and see if that helps. It's what I used to retrofit and code mine. Luckily I didn't need to change the module so it was a bit simpler but looking at that guide it seems you should have the correct steering module.

Hope this helps!
Keep us posted.

The part number should be 8p0 not 1k0

Decode, recode with engine of but ignition on.

Finally got around the problem and the recoding worked. Works like a charm . Now on to the steering sensor recalibration

Much appreciated guys !!

Calibrate angle before testing as cc won't operate.

Hi

I have completed this retrofit today but I'm not sure what you mean by steeringsensor recalibration? And how I would do this?

If yours doesnt require its not needed.

Is any fault showing on the dash?

No faults showing on dashboard. Well the fault light came on for a few seconds but then went off and never came back on after that

That's normal when fitting cruise & not changing the module & slip ring.

That’s fine. I have a 2008 Audi A3 8p PREfacelift model and I only changed the indicator and cruise control stalk and it worked. I didn’t need to changed the slip ring and module.
