Evening all.

I've recently put a deposit down on an 2016 Nardo RS3, but have a few questions!if anyone has a minute.

auto dimming mirror, does the PFL come with that horrible plastic oval shaped one that looks like it’s out of a ford KA?

LED headlights, on the spec sheet it says adaptive with turning? I take it these are the bendy lights?

Does the exhaust valve work the same as the S3? Only opening near 3000rpm or does it switch to open when dynamic is engaged?

cheers all.

The 2015/16 RS3 has all LED front lights, they don't move like on the Golf R Adaptive headlights, however when you come to junctions/bends etc they do have an outward facing LED that illuminates the edges of the road, it uses navigation data at night time to know you are coming up to a junction and puts them on, you'll notice it happening if near a wall / hedge etc.

My 2015 car didn't have an oval mirror and I've done some work on various other PFL cars over the years and never seen the oval one in an RS3, that’s not to say they aren’t present in early cars though, you can usually check this in sales pictures anyway.

Exhaust valves are similar to other RS/S cars yes in that both will be open higher up the Rev range, you can buy an Active valve controller to have them both open all the time.

Interesting, thanks T-1000.

^ Same mirror I retro fitted to my S3, phew. That oval one looks horrendous. I thought that would be the caase with regards to the lights. I found it confusing that the spec on the Audi app named them, Adaptive LED with turning.

Thanks again.

On the subject of Exhaust Valves, what's the consensus on these? Is CETE the best available? This is my next purchase, hate the way the valves close going from first to second.

Yes the CETE is great, I had a few teething problems with mine at first but all seems to be running smoothly now. There is the added bonus of it saving your drive select and keeping the stop/start off so when you start the car it’s how you left it, no scrolling through the drive select

Adding the CETE was the best mod i’ve added to the car.
The sound is unreal, but switch the valves off or back to comfort for a motorway journey and it’s nice and quiet.

Yeah they really are brilliant, definitely worth the money imo.

I bought mine from a chap on here. Paid £190 second hand. He’d only had it on the car a couple of months.
Got yourself a bargain there mate :icon thumright:

Glad you’re enjoying it, saw you had a slight ‘glitch’ always worked fine on my car so hopefully just a one off!
