So, I’m thinking of buying a genuine Audi sport exhaust from a seller on eBay. The exhaust is listed as the back box but it looks like it’s everything from the Opf’s back. If I fit this to my 2019 car what improvements will it have to the sound? I’ve read that potentially they’re the same exhaust and the difference is further up the system?

just don’t want to waste £500, any advice greatly appreciated.

or would I be better off with a valve controller from CETE or equivalent?

thanks

Exhaust sectioning is the same on the OPF cars.
Joining sleeve connects front to back (item 2 in the picture)

The fitting isn’t an issue from what I can see and researched. It’s just the potential gains I’m keen to find out. I’m just reluctant to Chuck £500 at it and it sound the same, only gaining back tips!

not sure on gains but the noise should be a lot better

That’s really good to know.

So can you just buy the miltek downpipe/gpf delete and connect it to the sports exhaust on a 2019 car?

sorry, not power gains just noise gains.
I test drove a non sport exhaust OPF model and bought an OPF model with sports exhaust and I’d say the noise is only slightly louder tbh!

With a valve controller it certainly brings the exhaust noise to life so maybe that on your non sports exhaust might be a better option?

Great that’s some helpful feedback thanks. If it’s not night and day difference I probably won’t bother, what with the warranty issues it may or may not cause!

I’d love to hear one of these controllers in person the YouTube stuff doesn’t really do them justice I don’t think.

Here’s a video I did of mine with the CETE controller fitted...
