Been looking at getting an A4 Avent, or some sort of A8,A6

Just can't seem to make up my mind...

want something that looks good, the 09 and onwards A4's look fairly nice..

I'd love a Q7, but price is around 6-7k >.<

A4 Avant. Although I’m obviously biased :whistle2:

You can pick up a B7 Avant for around £5K depending on the variant/ milaged etc. Loads of good petrol and diesel models around 10+ years old. For an older car they still look fresh today with plenty of aftermarket tuning options available for both petrol & diesel. I’d avoid the more basic models and look at the SE or Sline models with nicer interiors and all the toys. As mentioned before, I am am slightly biased though. Worth getting out there to test drive a few, it’ll give you a better idea of what you do and don’t like.

B7 A4 cabriolet.

Cheap to run and was the last ever A4 Cab, so won’t drop much more in value before going up again.

but also been looking at 2012's...

I can get a 2012 SE/SE Technik or 2011's S lines, obviously, the 2012 looks nicer, but is it worth missing out on the S Line package?

the cheapest s line 2012 is £10,445 >.<

8p A3 for sure. Can get a b7 a4 with the same 2.0FSI but it’s way heavier then the A3

Wow! Was about to say where can an A1 be had for sub 5k then searched and my god the prices have shot down since last looking a few years back, had an A1 as a courtesy car when they were first released and it was a blast; proper go kart feel, good choice.

Know the OP has made a decision now (and in my opinion a very good one) but for 5k would personally probably get something like an S3 but all depends what's wanted from the car really as personally always used to have a thing for saloon's and 4x4's but now quite like hot hatches.

Yeh the A1 is a very underrated car
My friend has a polo and iv always thought the A1 is way more solid and better quality.
I had a A1 sport twin charge years back and loved it.
I just recently bought a A1 TDI Manual and loving it
