Hey guys,

I've been digging through the threads and I haven't found a definitive answer. My suspension is creaking when going slowly over uneven road allowing the body to move more than going faster and allowing the suspension to work more (if it makes sense). The other is knocking from the front when going over tram rails for example. The knock is quite severe. I was at a mechanic yesterday and he said everything looked good, he dissembled the balljoints and said they are fine except from what I already know is the top mounts. I had my CV boots replaced so I presume if it were them, he would have told me.

Any suggestions are welcome... Thank you for your time.

TBH it sounds like that or maybe more like balljoints, the suspension is firm and tight but rattles and creaks as well.. Thanks, I'll give it a try Any other suggestions are welcome!

Mine was bad when 8first bought the car..had the drop links changed still the same then went to a better garage changed the drop links again and noises all disappeared

Actually put it on correctly first guy didn't tighten it properly

Do these have the subframe issues like the Mk5 cars? I feel like that's the problem with mine. It does it only if the bump is big enough to make the body roll side to side slightly..

If it's of any help I've seen brand new subframe on ebay for 100 pound I'm planning to buy one myself

I was just at a reputable mechanic and he told me it's sth at a very early stage and just told me to keep driving until it gets worse and come back to replace it as everything has to disassembled for it to be located..

Fair enough I'm still buying the sub frame..just cuz it's nice and shiny the whole front suspension will also be thrown out to lower the car at some point
