S3 Front Grille Replacement

Afternoon chaps,

Need to replace my front grille as it is damaged, brought one from Ebay and thought it was the correct one, turns out it wasn't! doh. Been doing some research today to try and find the correct one an i have drawn a blank, Hoping someone here will be able to point me in the right direction before i have to give audi a call tomorrow

. Ill show some pictures to aid you helping me! also included the part numbers of the bumper and existing grille.

Its a 56 plate S3 2.0

That's preface lift S3, show us pics of the one you bought.

This is the one I brought, the curvature is wrong and it hits on the cross section of the bumper that goes over the bumper bar. Just struggling to find a grille that is compatible!

Did you check the old item for a part number, most parts have one stamped on them somewhere.

The new part looks like an RS3 grill. That won’t fit a prefacelift S3. I don’t think there are any aftermarket ones either that will fit so you need to search for a genuine part.

Ah thanks prt57, that was my fear. For some reason the eBay part thing said it would fit onto my car! Lessons learned. I’ve ended up buying a second hand one.

That's not RS3, that's more like a sport, Sline shape for 04-08 cars, so it's preface lift, facelift grills have squarer edges & more plastic on the sides & top as support, fixings.
