Facelift MMI connector removal?

Hi all

I'm in the process of fitting a towbar to my a3. I need access to the fuse box and BCM to finish off last part wiring for towbar.
Really seem to be struggling the two connector on back of mmi am i missing clip?

I have lifted the white tab but can't not get it to pull off. Anyone know the trick?

Attached all wires?? Including the loose canbus wires above clutch?. Then you can program..

These are the fog lights: Only the trailers foglights light up with this setting.

Only bit i have done plus re code the trailer module as i had a fault.
tested trailer on back car and all lights on trailer are working as they should.

Should i change what you have listed?
 
I would.. and test for error every time.. you can always revert back to origional..
I have only added towbar on prefacelift...


And to help you hook up the trailer, the camera is worth every penny. They are arround 100euros on aliexpress.

Yes, really would like to add the camera that was my next project. But the sweat n tears caused trying to get trim off and connectors without breaking them . Trying to add wires to back fuse box so little space puts me off. Not sure want to put myself thought it all again yet anyways.

I guess it changes the power delivery off the engine for hauling heavy stuff.

I can believe there is a different setting for trailer in abs.

No idea how this in facelift works, but on prefaelift you get an extra option on navigation.(lowering max speed because you have trailer.)

On camera equiped cars you get an extra option to hook up the trailer by projecting center line on cam image.

* 69 - Trailer - No change required

But check anyway.

I am going to try the trailer assist feature soon.
It requires pla 3.0 and trailer assist capable camera. (99% cannot)

PLA 3.0 is also a nice upgrade. The automated parking is a fun feature. Hope the trailer assist works without too much effort.

So far : i upgraded acc, Virtual cockpit , mib2 with usb dab and lte antenna, Facelift steering wheel, facelift gateway (wheel did not communicate with gateway)pla2.0 , pla3.0 (needed abs software upgrade to instal pla 3.0), RVC, towbar, illuminated doorsils, side assist, facelift rear dynamic led lights..... lots more..

For rvc you need the blue connector on back of the mmi multi plug and the 2 canwires. A pin extraction tool is very handy with this (also on ali)

The power wire you can do without opening the fusebox. There are special adapters for this.

One last thing, when buying on aliexpres make sure the equipment is parametered for a3 8v.
Without this you cannot program..

Had little go. Only could change Engine [Coding - 07]
The rest i have no box to tick or i get window open up saying "coding rejected error 31: request out of range"
What is common problem for me with vcds. I do same thing but with OBDeleven and it works.
So may try with that later.
 
origional vcds???

Clone needs regular restart of program...And clone does not have all the coding options on facelift cars..
 
No its genuine lead from Gendan. I'll have to try looking or post on Vcds forum about it. Or just use the Obdelven.
