Spent a few “working from home” hours freshening up the rear brakes. Had already done the fronts a few months ago.

Made a huge difference.

Thanks mate
Mine need doing but the bought calliper paint takes too long to dry.

Looks good mate, did I take the pads out? This is on my to do list now I don’t have much work on.

Looks much better but I don't understand why people paint the retainer springs? They're cheap as to replace if yours are manky.

I allso have plan to use this "work from home" days to do this. I plan to paint it red as I saw on other Audi with the same alloys.

Remember with Hammerite/Smoothrite it's important to get the second coat on within a certain time frame. If you don't then the chemical bond between coats does not happen.
Does anybody know of an alternative paint? I've found the product sets hard and can be prone to chipping.

Did mine yesterday. Been wanting to do it for a long time.

So I was just reading up using brake cleaner on my callipers which I did and quite a bit to get them clean, Will this of damaged my rubber boots and seals??? I’m paranoid now

I shouldn’t think so as it’s brake cleaning fluid. I used a rag and panel wipe to clean mine before painting but they weren’t that bad.

Hi.
I had them powder coated Shadow Chrome. Think it looks very good on a white car.

Any chance of a picture of your whole car ? Would like to see how the wheels look please.

What do you think guys on my silver SB with black and silver rims should I paint it red or black. I think red will be to much... Better black...

I think they both will look good, but if it was me I would proberly go for black, but I do like s3 red calipers with the black front plate with s3 logo

You've made a great job there mate . Which centre caps did you buy I camt seem to find the correct size. I think they look better than the star shaped ones
