Me again

my husband has found a broken wire in the door connector hoping this is the cause of our problems but can’t seem to unplug the loom from the body. I have searched on here but all relevant pictures have been deleted. Google is like finding a needle in a haystack watching videos non relevant to what I need. Does anyone have a diagram.. video they can show me. Thanks in advance.

Hiya give me a sec I’ll pop out to mine and check for you

It’s a bit of a pain but once that boot is off there’s a little purple tab at the top (pic below) slide that towards you and then the retainer at the top of the plug will able to go down and release. It’ll go inside the A pillar so the trims will probably have to come off inside. Mines abit mashed from faffing with folding mirrors etc lol.

If you want to make life easier though just remove the loom from the door and that’ll give you enough slack to pull it through and do the repair. Remember though on the repair give yourself enough slack and don’t put a crimp on the bend point.

On the rear of the connector there is a clip that pushes in to release the connector. You can see it in this picture where the orange wire enters the connector.

Yep, slide the pink bit on the top to the left and you should be able to pinch the middle of the connector in and pull it out.
