Hi all,
I find myself the proud owner of this car, however when I try to get any information on it it says that it an SE, but the car is described as S-Line. Does this look like an S-Line to you or is it an SE with a lot of upgrades? What do I tell the insurance company?
I don't have the VIN as the car has not been delivered yet so I can't check with Audi, not sure if they'll be open in these times.
Thank you.
Paul

It's a Se with s line parts fitted buddy

No side skirts I think the rear bumper is se too ...

It doesn't look like an s line, the headlights should have LED daytime running lights and xenon headlights and they don't look like it from that angle.

The roof lining inside should be black as well and it's not.

Should be s line on both wings, on the doors steps when you open the door, and embossed on the from leather seats.

If you send me the reg I can get the vin for your and check.

Edit, I've just seen there's a pic of the reg, I'll check now.

It's a 143BHP SE model I've just checked with the reg and VIN.

I think it's a sline steering wheel and alloy wheels buddy.

Interior am not so sure could be factory fit half leather.

Did the B8 pre-facelift have side skirts? I'm sure mine is an s line but doesn't have any side skirts.

Auto trader values it around £3700 with 90,000 miles buddy.

No signs of it been in an accident either online anyway.

Probably worth bit more with the leather interior and extras I have the 143bhp tdi engine been fantastic.

Thanks guys, it's going to give me some headache to insure then. The seats do say S-line at the front. Someone must have gone through a lot of trouble to upgrade it.
Not bothered about value as I won it at a raffle. I just need to go though everything that's not factory fitted and declare it to the insurance company, might need to upload some more photos when it arrives so you can tell me what's factory and what's not.

It’s going to be my wife’s car so she’s leaning more towards returning it to stock.

I would leave it how it is looks smart in my opinion just drive and enjoy it.

Must be bargain if you won it.

Yes it was, £40 worth of tickets on various cars on their website and this one stuck so really pleased with value for money. I’m sure they’re going to reel me in now and in a year I will spend close to what the car is worth though:)

Personally I'd insure it as an SE and done with it, all you have as "extras" is some s-line badges....

Whack your VIN into the MyAudi app and it'll tell you the car spec.

Even with the seats, steering wheel, alloys and tinted windows it still comes down to £58 per month with business insurance. £5 more than the Focus it’s replacing so happy with that.
I need to call my local Audi to get defined
as owner on MyAudi now but they’re closed.
Can you see from the VIN if those were the original wheels or not?

I thought the front bumper for the s-line has a line going across. That’s one sweet looking car!!
I think that's a se front bumper was like that when I bought it.
Theres not much difference in them.

Maybe damaged by previous owner was a sline though.

So she made it home, she’s an SE like you all said. After decoding all the options, extras are: 18” alloy wheels, s-line interior, tinted windows, wind deflectors and some black vinyl on all the chrome.
I’m quite impressed with the quality of the ride and handling....probably because I’m comparing it to my xc70.
The brake pads and discs are first on my list, forgot how expensive Audi parts were compared to Ford it replaced:)).
There are tons of receipts for Turbo, DMF, starter motor, wheel bearings...I wasn’t expecting that many things to go wrong on an 86000 miles car but hey.
Thank you all for your input!
Paul

Sounds like quite a few of the things normally needed have been done.

If you shop around discs and pads shouldn't be much difference to any other car really they are nothing special or different.

What prices have you been getting, DIY or supply and fit?

For basic stuff it will be diy.
The last quote was ECP, brembo complete front and back £299 with their Easter sale.
Didn’t go ahead with the purchase as they gave me more than one fittment option and didn’t have the car with me to check.

If you have the service book there should be a build sticker in it that will tell you what brakes you have and then you can cross reference this on ECP site.

One fitment of brakes are 1LA and 1LB

And the other is 1LT and 1LY.

The latter are usually cheaper.

Thanks, just had a look and it’s a duplicate service book so no info there. I’ll do the old fashion wheel off and measuring technique:)

Nothing that stands out I’m afraid...or at least not to me

Those two highlighted are your front and rear brake codes if my research serves me right. If you look on ECP and go on fitment details it should come up with a few different ones they should match up, the one on the left are your rears and the rights your fronts.

It will give you all the measurements as well so you could measure just to double check.
