So last week I received my Miltek secondary decats. Wanted to remove any potential issues at MOT from the non experienced Audi inspectors so filed down the welds on the tags that say ‘not for road use’ until the tags came off and filed each weld until smooth. In a few thousand miles when Pipe is discoloured it will be invisible. The sound combined with my sports exhaust is amazing. Plus the brand new secondary decat package was on eBay for £100! Boom!!

Nice job mate, enjoy the sound of that 5 pot even more:sunglasses:

Are they easy to fit?
Go outside and give it some big revs, let's have a listen.

Secondary decats on PFL increases volume by about 30-40% I reckon. My stage 1 with it done was bonkers loud.

If you drive in comfort is it quiet or ASBO in all modes?

Haha I can’t just now as I live in a quiet neighbourhood. Honestly no video you see on YouTube actually does it justice, it’s the best sounding car on the road I don’t even care if I’m being biased haha.

Yeah videos don't sound anything like real life do they. Did you fit the pipes yourself?

The car is long gone but I had MRC stage 1 it and they also did the secondary decat while I was there.
Sound was outrageous. Highly recommend. For the money (£500 ish for a map and £150 for secondary decat pipes) it’s a no brainer IMO.

Agh ok mate thanks. I was recently in touch with a guy from falkirk he is mrc point for scotland i think. Sounds good tjough. Thanks pal

I just jacked mine up using the standard issue Jack in the boot and climbed underneath (did use axle stands for protection) and removed. Took a few hours but I was being interrupted by the family and my ratchet had broken so all done very manually.
The clamps towards the back are very easy, the three bolts per Cat a little more tricky due to space and rust of the bolts (two of the snapped but never mind.

Fitting the replacements took just as long as it takes to bolt them back up. I did use the gaskets off the original and a small smear of exhaust paste (just brought small tube from Ebay for few quid. Bolts that come with the decat kit are M8 x 35mm incase anyone needs replacements.

The sound is just awesome. Ok in comfort/auto (drive). I’m pleased I don’t need to start the car early everyday (more a weekend toy) as would seriously **** off the neighbours I think however that’s not due to the decat, just the standard sports exhaust.

I’m sure most in my street who know little about cars, just think it’s a small audi with a boy racer exhaust. The amount of people I have to explain to that it’s standard from audi - sure they don’t believe me.

the noise increase from the decat is really only noticeable after 4000 rpm when the car is howling. It’s just howls even louder!
