Honeycomb grille mesh on sline bumper?

Wondered where people ordered the honeycomb mesh to re do my front grille i ordered one which was biggest size i could find and its wide enough but not tall enough to do all in one piece, any links?

Not looking at buying an oem rs4 grille either.

I know a man that has an rs4 grille that is broken but the mesh centre section is fine, he may be willing to let it go for a few quids.
let me know and i'll ask him.
 
As for fitment I bought one for my b6 and when I opened it I thought *&$@ it's way too short on the width when offering it up to the OEM one!
Took of the old and tried it and when it snapped into place it fitted lol

I hope it does as it looks about 10cm off think i got the 120cmx40cm biggest i could find really, i want to see what it like with no number plate holder, hopefully the fmic will be on show more but if i have to do two pieces and hide the join behind the numberplate holder i may have to cry lol

had a reply back re the rs4 grille, he want's to keep it for a project he's doing now so best count it no longer for sale.

If you managed to get in, there is no way you'd get out with all your limbs...let alone the grille.:scared2:

I was going to fit a honey comb grill to mine (non S line) and I'm sure there was a few on ebay for S line.

I’m in the exact same predicament at the moment shame Audi can’t supply the mesh on its own, but I’ve looked all over and can’t find anything that will fit the s line grill

Really putting iff fitting this intercooler as i want to do the grille at the same time but i cant get anywhere with finding one still.
 
Maybe time to bite the bullet chaps and invest in a full Rs4 grille, saves a lot of time and hassle, end result will be spot on aswell, just my input.

Really not spending that amount on a grille id rather just keep mine but if i could change it for honeycombe for cost of £10 mesh id do it just to see the intercooler more apart from that im not interested lol
 
You chaps are not looking , and if one doesn't look …..:whistle2:

I couldn't find any looked for about half hour last night only so much i can look before i lose interest ill give her a machine polish and wax today then ill make something happen with the grille towards the end of the week

I find rather than sticking to searching ebay it's better to use Google as your search engine. You then find worldwide businesses selling what you're after. Another obvious point is how to word the search in the first instance.

What makes you think i just typed something in eBay then gave up?
 
If anyones got a link then happily send it over as I've searched google, ebay, gumtree, facebook ect went on about 20 companies all selling one that looks like sline and its not its for non sline also tried searching for s4 grille/grill and rs4, b7 honeycomb, genuine part is £300+ used and some even selling one for over £600.
 
More i look into it more i seem to find other people having same issue trying to find one I've always assumed you just get a universal piece but i guess not...

No offence intended dude just trying to help with your search method. It was last year when I found plenty that wouldn't fit mine so I assumed they fit S line instead.

Really don't get why they wouldn't sell them to fit s line bumpers, very puzzling.

Think I've gave up on the idea now to be honest mate spent the day machine polishing it and found the front end is stone chipped badly already so I've lost interest now lol
 
I have a spare s line grill that I’m going to cut out but may leave number plate bracket in the middle that way the mesh I have from eBay would cover the whole grill, it should look like this......... I hope

That was my back up plan and what ill be doing now as well :icon thumright:
 
Just for you chaps messing around with chopping and sticking bits in and unsure of what the back of an rs4 grille , here you go a RS4 grille.

Looks like the same job i could do with the £10 mesh tbh originally i wanted to get rid of the numberplate holder hence the thread being looking for a bigger piece of mesh, was never the plan to get a rs4 looking or oem one i just wanted to allow the fmic to be on show more but as it seems either impossible or ridiculously expensive ill just use the mesh to re do the top and bottom parts and hopefully your still see more of the intercooler than the oem s line grille inserts.

I contacted a guy in Peterborough,who sells them, on your behalf today, but apparently they only do these for B8s not B7s.
