exhaust steam at idle when warm?

So my car is doing great and all but I have noticed, at night time, when car headlights show it, when my car is warm and been driving for like 30 mins, I will sit at traffic lights and quite a bit of condensation / steam will be coming out of my exhausts. It disappears when accelerating or driving, just idle.

Any ideas? Is this normal? Seems a bit wierd.

It's definetly steam and not white/blue smoke and there is no smell.

All my previous petrols and diesels only did it when the engine (and therefore exhaust pipes) are cold and the car is warming up, not x hours into journey.

Depends upon the density of the air, temperature and humidity. My car does it all cars do it. You are worrying yourself unnecessarily....

Well "all cars do it" well no they don't none of mine did, my dad's SQ5 doesn't either.

Unfortunately they do, all cars produce water vapour which, according to the conditions should dissipate into the atmosphere. There are certain atmospheric conditions where this doesn't happen and this is what's occurring with your car on occassions. If you have no other warnings coming up on your dash either take it to the dealership or stop worrying about nothing..
