Hi Guys

Anyone have an induction kit fitted and what do we think is the one to go for?

I've got the VWR R600 which whilst not the prettiest is certainly one of, if not the, most efficient. What I will say is that at Stage 1 it's proven to make no gains in power or torque figures (although lowers intake temps and improves power/torque curves).
Fortunately I like the sound and better response but it's a lot of money to waste just chasing numbers.

Why bother unless you're after looks. The standard set up does not limit performance until the car is significantly tuned. They are designed to have a large redundant capacity so it still allows sufficient airflow when it needs changing.

If you put in a foam based panel filter
(preferably a NON- oiled up sponge like K&N)

But yes the standard airbox on a untuned car is plenty, although the worst part of the standard system is the flexy hose piece... thats the bit thats worth uprating to a silicon hose!

The forge carbon intake is good for sound, looks and performance when it becomes necessary. I think it's great and had it on from standard and now Revo stage 2.

i went for the intergrated engineering intake, pretty pricey but looks cool and sounds nice :)

And to finish the set here is the full APR Intake. very similar design to the above just without the extended end.

Love that engine cover.

Check out 034 Motorsport, got some nice carbon goodies on there and for the OP they have a nice carbon intake too - downside is they're based in America.

Here is the Revo Induction kit/ intake. Its a direct fit/ replacement to OEM. As others have said its mainly asthetics and sound ( with air filter etc) as gains are close to zero at stage 1. I think the VWR600 and Revo items are prob the most popular, especially in UK. Although there is certainly a lot more choice these days. Revo are/have also brought out a new carbon Air box lid. @Rob2k68 !

Does the silicone hose come with that kit?

Or is it a seperate item?

Hi,

anyone had experience or know of anyone with the forge motorsport gen 3 induction kit to an Audi s3 2017 facelift? I love the look of it above most and the sound is suppose to be very good.

however each site I look on says it will not fit the facelift model.

I have seen cars with it on and just wondering what needs to be done to make it fit

thanks

There my be a difference at the grill where it bots to the intake. I have this on my car, that’s all I can see that wouldn’t make it fit.

incase anyone else is wondering, Forge kit does not fit the facelift model due a change in the bonnet release being in a slightly different location and not actually due to fitment in the bay.

I'd imagine maybe something that is easier to modify and make fit.

If you want the noise / benefits without spending hundreds then look at the OEM intake mod. I personally felt that it made a little difference at the top end, but perhaps the air filter that was replaced was dirty.
