Hi folks,
Just joined to Audi family with an A6 C7 2.0 TDI 190 S-Tronic Ultra 2016 with 30k on the clock. Very proud to have it and absolutely loving it. The only issue so far is the radio reception. Its RMC installed I believe.
My previous cars has no problem at all in the area i live and drive(Manchester UK)
However both FM and DAB reception are awfully bad doesn’t matter where i go. I was checking all around the net to find a fix but couldn’t find anything handy yet. The closest one I’ve seen is an A6 Avant which I believe the location of everything is different.
Is there any way you can lead me to fix the issue or check the possible connection or cable issues? Couldn’t find the location of splitter etc or how to remove them.
Your help is much appreciated.

Only advice I can offer is the saloon models have aerial amplifiers for radio reception attached to the rear screen. I have a Kufatec DAB reception kit on my A6 and I had to solder the amplifier connections to prepared filaments on the rear screen. Pretty certain an avant has similar setup on one of the rear side windows.

An earlier A6 of mine with poor reception had the rear screen replaced at 1 year old under warranty.

John.

Thank you John,
Is it on top side of the rear screen? Is it easy to remove the top bit? Just pull it?

Thank you John, just removed now and checked the connections, earth and soldering, all looks good :(

Lucky for you, couldn't get an A1 to accept the solder at all recently on a dab retrofit, seems like a coating on that stops it taking, wasn't the tint afaik, tried few solder points, just wouldn't take.

Fitted any devices, like camera's or USB charging plugs?
