Q5 Fitting mud flaps

Hi Colin,
I have a Q3 and thought I would have a go at fitting genuine mud flaps to it myself but it looked like a mammoth job, unless you have the car up on a ramp. I then decided to ask around for a price to fit only. First port of call was Audi Leicester where I purchased the car from and they came back with a price of £396, I had to look twice at the quote as I couldn't believe it. I then asked the next nearest Audi dealership to me which is in Northampton and they quoted £62.40 so guess what, they got the job and it took them less than 1/2 an hour. When I can figure out how to reduce the size of the photos I will post them on the forum.

Hi Andy, thanks for your reply, that's a ridiculous price you were given from the supplying dealer. I fitted a set to my A6 (C7) which were fitted within a couple of hours at the side of the road using the supplied jack, then when I got my A6 (C8) the instructions were a nightmare to understand so I took it to a local Audi specialist who said he wouldn't want to fit another set, he took £80 even though it took him about 4 hours to fit them. Last week I thought I would try to fit them to my Q5 but when I went to take the wheel off I found that the car doesn't come supplied with a jack so ended up taking it back to the local garage and he fitted them for £40.
