Hello All,

As the title mentioned, I'm looking to get my wheels refurbished and looking for recommendations in the Yorkshire area. Ideally I'd like to keep the Audi Sport logo if possible.

Had a complete nightmare when I had my tyres replaced, the company managed to damage every wheel and are completely denying responsibility hence the need for a reputable place to refurb all 4 wheels.

The damage isn't terrible, and it's on top of the lip of the rim. (see below)

Thanks!

You won’t find anywhere that can do a full refurb and keep the AudiSport logo as it’s etched into the base coat when the wheel is manufactured. I’m not sure even a smart repair will work on diamond cut rims.

I wasn't sure whether or not they could just dress the damage locally rather than fully redressing the whole wheel, as the damage you see is the only damage on the wheel.

Humm, problem is it’s just lacquer over bare alloy and I’m not sure if smart repair guys can do diamond cut rims. Diamond cut alloys are a proper PITA. My wife has some on her RangeRover and they were brand new a year ago, the front two already have spidering from stone chips and I clean them nearly every week and they still wear really badly. I just sold mine and bought 20’s.

If you’re near Leeds, try the Wheel Specialist out in Garforth, they my be able to advise you.

I had an extremely nasty bit of kerbage on my diamond cut alloys coming out of a multi storey car park. Couldn’t believe it as usually very careful.
Anyway, a specialist repaired it good as new and meant I kept to Audi sport logo.

Where was it that you got them refurbed Doc? It would really be my preference to keep the logo, even if it means going a bit further afield.

It was a guy in Warwickshire. But honestly, a good refurber will get that mark fixed easily. It’s tiny.

Hi Doc, do you have the details for this guy, I'm not far from Warwick and need to sort out my kerbed alloy.
Thanks

Warwick Wheel Wizard - 07495676478

Not the chattiest guy in the world, nor the cheapest (I think he charged me £100 for an hours work!) but he’s mobile and did a great job.

My damage was worse than yours.

I chuckled at that name

If you haven’t already found somewhere to repair your rim then I can recommend Transalloy in Birstall if you’re in Yorkshire. I’ve had several different styles of rims repaired both polished and powder coated and they’ve been like factory finish and on my Audi sport rims they were able to keep the logo intact because they removed the lacquer, repaired the curb rash and relacquered it. Prices are quite reasonable too

Another vote for the wheel specialist here. Been using them for years (Manchester branch).
