Hi All,

I've had the Audi UTR installed and pleased with the image quality. though the app and software are typical Audi - in need of much improvement, which I am assured is on-the-way

I would like to view the images on my Mac. Could anyone help by telling me how to split the front and rear camera images. When I view a file (they are .avi) using most viewers, I get only the front camera image. When using VLC as the media player, I get both front and rear images, but in different windows. but I can't modify this, the images run together, one window on top of the other butI can't s[lit them.

Can anyone help with separating these two images from the one file......

I realise that this is an old thread but I have just had to do this having had a minor prang whilst reversing. I used VLC on my Mac to view the avi files from the SD card. As it seems you have already found out, if you go to video>video track you can't select track 1 (front) or track 2 (rear) within VLC. The front and rear clips play in different windows but are encoded into the same file. I do not know how to separate out the tracks.

VLC is the only option I have been able to find. It's not convenient by any means and continue to hunt for a better solution. There is no help available from Audi, nit that I have been able to find anyway

Perhaps I'm not using VLC properly ...... ?

I've had exactly the same problem a you. I don't know how to separate the files, but I sent them to the insurance companies involved, they were familiar with them and seemed to be able to manipulate them. they were satisfied and happily ( I think ) have been able to see off the claimant for damages and an erroneous whiplash claim

Thinkware_dashcam_viewer_1.4.3.4 works as well, although I can't get their latest version to work.

Contact your Audi dealer for the link to Audi UTR viewer it's excellent, my dealer at Audi Wearside sorted it much better than VLC
