Hi Guys,

A3 2.0TFSI Revo Stage 3 - Wonder if anyone can help. I upgraded my K03 (Stock) to a K04 and all the oil and coolant lines fitted perfectly. That was until the engine blew up...... New (Strengthened Engine) fitted and another Turbo. However, while the coolant feed and oil feed and return lines fit, the coolant return pipe doesnt (larger turbine means that the steel pipe wont route around / over the turbine).

Has anyone any ideas as to how to make up a flexible hose with a Banjo end for the turbo, and a rubber hose for the attachment to the coolant line on the side of the engine? This is the last thing that is preventing me from getting the car back on the road and I just can't believe its such a stupid part. TPS sourced pipework wont fit (again, due to the larger turbine) and I'm stuck.

Im sure I've seen some fittings somewhere that will allow me to make up a hose, but ******** if I can find them again.

Any suggestions welcome

Many thanks,

Graham

From what I think you are saying, your new turbo is not a K04 which is why the standard K04 pipework will not fit. I think I’d be contacting AKS tuning as they are excellent at fabrication or they may even give you a hint of where to purchase. They are well known as trusted fitters of big turbos to these cars and so the oil and water lines must come from somewhere. As another example, they make their own braided clutch line from the components.

@Graham Smith A different perspective... Rather than buying coolant lines, could I perhaps tempt you with a low mileage CTS Hybrid K04? Have one sitting in my garage right now. Runs perfectly with Revo Stage 3 software (I know because that's what I was running on my 2.0 TFSI). Just a thought...

Oooohhhhh......now there's a thought. Do you have any more details? (It would mean that I would then have a new K04 with Garrett core to sit in my garage instead, but I may be tempted...)!

Racing Lines have been fantastic in their response and I just need to measure up to order up the pipe, so if you can get back asap.

Many thanks,

Graham
