Might be cheaper & quicker to use the Kufatec dongle - it does everything for you & takes less than 2 mins.

Just to give you an idea, Hazzy Dayz in Herts charge £225+vat for this. Like I said, probably cheaper to just buy the Kufatec dongle

There is a post on here by @glasgow1 I think- he bought one a while ago and it didn't work for the C8. May be best checking with Kufatec to make sure they have changed it for the new MMI system.
Thanks for the headup. I bought mine a few weeks ago from Kufatec Germany and plan to use it next month when my MY20 A6 is delivered. According to the dongle instructions, for cars >2019 you need to open the bonnet for the dongle to work. But I will check with Kufatec just to be sure the dongle is compatible.

From the prices on their website, they are not much different from Audi dealer quotes. Only difference is that some of the options may not be available from Audi themselves.
Unlikely that dealerships will turn on 'features'that aren't installed from the factory. It has been a many owners experience that they won't even update the firmware to a more recent version half the time...

Just to let you know the Kufatec dongle works 100% on the C8 A6 - I enabled Traffic Speed Sign recognition on my 2020 A6 this morning. Its an absolute MUST you leave open the bonnet during coding otherwise it won't work. It works on both Virtual Cockpit & standard dashboards.
This is how I did it:
1) Open bonnet
2) Switch on ignition (not engine) & wait for 30 sec.
3) Plug dongle into OBD port
4) Leave dongle plugged in until red LED on dongle stops flashing - takes about 1 minute.
(NOTE: during coding the dashboard will display all sorts of warnings/error messages/gobbledy gook, DO NOT PANIC as its normal)
5) Remove dongle, switch off ignition and close bonnet
6) Lock car and wait at least 10 mins before starting car.
7) Once you start driving, the car will permanently display a speed limit sign as soon as it picks up the first one.
Btw Audi dealerships usually charge you around £250-£300 to do same dongle coding, so ~ £150 for the same is far cheaper
^^ That's weird. Did you leave the bonnet fully open during coding? I wonder if Kufatec have updated the dongle for newer (MY2019+) MLB based models? As the photo shows, mine was manufactured in Nov 2019.

Will do. Just to double check, I presume you left the bonnet fully open during coding? Even some Carista mods require the bonnet to be open during coding on MLB2019+ cars, otherwise the mods won't work.
Yeah its showing an update to 3.02 as available, however when i try to update, it doesn't update for some reason. Anyway I'm not too fussed as I managed to do the coding without any dramas.
Btw it might be worth asking Kufatec if they can send you a new dongle if you send the old one back? I've found their support to be excellent.

Fair enough. Though If you are really determined to get it working, then maybe ask your dealer to code it? Of course it won’t be cheap (around 250 notes I think) but at least you won’t pay if they can’t get it working.

I’ve got the standard cockpit so it now looks like the below picture when using the satnav.
Any chance you can plug your dongle into the pc and read the details please mine didn’t work I think I know why but just need more info
