S4 b9 speed limited

Hi guys new to the site bought my 2017 b9 S4 3.0 V6 turbo last weekend and have it booked in next weekend to go stage one. I was under the impression all these cars were limited to 155mph I just had it at 167 still accelerating but backed off! How’s this possible could that only happenif already mapped?

Could be speedo over reading vs actual speed or the cars will go past the limiter in a lower gear e.g. anything other than top.

Was in 8th gear and with digital speedo error between actual and measured is very low but as I say it was still accelerating with plenty to go?

Original owner may have optioned a delimit via Audi. An option on RS's for definite although not sure about the S4. An expensive option mind, £1500 ish to untick a box at the factory!

No option on the S4 for a top speed limiter removal, say if the speedo is out by 10% which is normally correct, the 155 limiter would be reading 170mph, so id say its just the speedo reading wrong, the remap option hasn't been around long so I'd doubt it's been remapped
