Hello,
New to this forum and have found it very useful for a number of problems that I've had. I was hoping to find a solution to this one and I apologise in advance, this has been asked but I can't find a definitive answer.
My fans dont work! I've read it could be all sorts, a sensor, thermostat, ECU, wiring. I have an
audi a3 1.9 tdi 2004. At idle neither fan spins, temp stays around 100, with air con or heaters on there is no change at all. When I turn the a/c on, they blow in the cockpit, just neither fan on at radiator. It's the same if I turn the heaters on, they blow in the cockpit but neither fan at radiator spin.
Please, (in layman's terms!) could somebody help me get to the source of this problem? I am generally very good at working things out and fixing them. Pictures would also be very helpful for me as if you mention a part I probably wont know what it is or where to find it, until I see it for myself!
All help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I have a wire with blue and brown wire, not attached to anything, just ontop of the fans. What the heck is that for? Doesnt seem to reach anywhere, this couldn't
simply be my problem for the fans, could it?!! If so, where do I connect these suspicious wires? I can take pics later to better explain these wires.
Thanks
