Apologies if this is in the wrong section, admin feel free to move if it is .

Bought a low mileage A4 05 plate 20t se last year as a daily and it's been doing its job well . Unfortunately I seem to be getting a fair bit of moisture inside the cabin and I think eventually it built up behind cluster . One day car wouldn't idle , had no LCD displays functioning and not many dash lights working .
After drying out behind the dash through the fuse cover with a hairdryer.... it's been fine since .

I've checked the rain water drain channels are clear ,that run from bulkhead to inner wing /under the car .

But have noticed that the rear under bonnet "scuttle panel" is missing and wondered if this could cause my symptoms?

Either way there's something missing in the area that could cause moisture ingress , so are all a4 05 "underbonnet scuttle panels the same ?
Or will I need one for a 20t petrol 2wd 05 a4 .
Hopefully b5, b6,b7 are the same but I'm not 100% it's even called a "under bonnet scuttle panel " let alone which is compatible.
Here's a pic of my bay , the bit I need runs at the back of the bay /bulkhead over the ECU, rear centre and battery.
Cheers Clive

Thanks for the reply
Glad to know they're cheap enough but if they dont come as standard on the a4 20t se then I doubt it will help much with my moisture ingress.

I might still get one ,as it looks like it might help cut down the volume of water entering the bulkhead area .
With all the drain channels I can find clear and no obvious leaks inside the cabin , I'm a bit puzzled as to where it's coming from

With a little bit of contortionism you can prise out the drain bung under the battery, not needed so bin it.

Cheers chaps , I knew the a4's suffered with blocked drain channels, as my brv used to own a a4 quattro that filled the chassis legs and undercarpet sound deadening with 6ltrs of water lol .

soon as I bought this one I cleaned the channels on either side and near the servo but missed the one under the battery this time around .

I'll have the battery out and have a squint at some point then , well soon as I've finished fitting the new cylinder heads to my scooby
