What kind of sump plug do these engines have? Do I need a new washer / plug for oil change? Can't find any info on it

Probably plastic, as the 1.4 is and yes you'll need a new one if draining the oil by removing it. Dealerships suck the oil out through the dipstick hole these days. Far simpler method and cleaner...

And I'm taking comfort in the old adage that the only truly stupid question is the one you never ask.
What's with all the ellipses?
I can only think you must have ordered a giant economy box of dots from Amazon by mistake, and having let the return date slip you're using them three at a time rather than just chucking them all in the bin.

The sump is aluminium, and I've still got to het it raised off the ground to change the filter so it's going to be a Pita and messy anyways

;-) Over 12 thousand posts, probably all them end in ... and it hasn't bothered anyone before...
Did that change part way through the 1.4 then? My 2013 1.4 CoD has a pressed steel sump, and a metal plug with a replaceable washer.
