Dear fellows enthusiasts as title says I m a bit lost on the maximum ET or minimum ET should I say as I would like to get some spacers. The story is: 18” alloys with 245/40 tyres and from my OEM 17” ten spoke on ET 47 I went to 32 ET but the wheels are still under so not really flush so the real question is do you think I can fit 15 mm spacers on back wheels and 10mm on front? Also I have spigot rings from 72.1to 66.5 if that matters in this case. I m worried about how much space would I have on the hub to put the wheels safe as it s quite a stretch from ET 47. Thank you

Easiest way is to now measure the gap between the middle top of the tyre to fender (less any lip on inside of arch)

let’s say it’s 16mm id go for 10/12mm incase you decide on getting 19” wheels or lowering it.

Ok Thanks actually on the back I ve got like 20mm and I want to go for 15mm. But just didn t know if from 47ET to 17 it s a bit much.Thank you

I have a B8 Avant and was told ET35/33 was the maximum you could go so I’m surprised the ones fitted are ET32 being that much tucked in that photo?

when I had standard 18” with ET47 I had 24mm rear and 16 front clearance to arch

The spacers I then fitted was 10/15 (ET37/ET32 and looked nice. They were hubcentric so has the lip on the spacer for wheels to seat on

Well that s why I m so confused as I think It might be too much to put some extra spacers like 10mm front and 15 mm back each side obviously

I previously ran 19 inch after market rotors et 35 with 10mm spacers on front and 15 mm spacers on the rear on my previous A4 b8, it was also lowered by 40mm on springs, no rubbing.

You should be ok to run spacers - 10 front and 15 rear on 18's.

Thanks It looks enough space to fit these ones(10&15) but was curious if anyone done it safely. My suspension it s sport from factory so 20mm shorter than standard so maybe in the future I ll get some 40 mm springs as well

I wouldn't drop an A4 40mm again, lost all comfort, looked good though.
