Hi all, really struggling to pick between two colours to wrap my S5, any opinions welcome!

On the left is "Gloss blue fire" and on the right is "Gloss Blue Metallic"
Low Res uploads don't help

TBH, I like them both. Either will make your car stand out from the crowd!.....only downside with 'loud' wraps is you need to be careful where you park. I have known 'stand out' wrapped cars to be vandalised.

That's the current predicament...I like both. Thankfully my car is in office car parks plus got a dashcam

First thing I thought mate before seeing your post! Out of those "Gloss Blue Metallic", but if I'm being 100% honest neither! I know you're only a young lad but is it a bit girly?

If it were me I'd go more stealth as in: https://i.redd.it/yo8fuotxye241.jpg

or if you want to stand out:
You're saying the Blues are a bit girly? I don't know about Nardo grey, seems everyone and their nan are going this colour, so do want more of a unique look but not multicoloured rainbow in your face.

Maybe girly isn't the right phrase, but really bright/glossy in your face blue!!! Gloss blood red:

What about a green or yellow? Very racey colours, light blue is a bit fiat500 in my eyes
One of the choices is more of a dark blue (left) and similarish to Ara blue. Yellow isn't for me, green could definitely be an option.

Must be the picture quality because they’re both very light to me!

Green would be good, blacked out grille and badges etc would look 10/10 with green

Unfortunately yeah the quality is limited on upload Gloss blue fire and gloss blue metallic are the two colour choices

But different horses for different courses...

So I'd consider one of these, these are the new Avery Dennison Supreme range.

This was the new colour pack I was presented with when I did mine 2 weeks ago, I loved the blue and nearly bit the bullet but I know that's probably going to be my next colour.

Mines been done twice now, loved the grey but the only thing coming from black it was quite similar!

Cheers will give the AD range a look, I might actually now be looking more of an orange
Liking the look of 3M gloss fiery orange

I really liked the orange too, the only reason I didn't was that I'd seen a few orange BMW's near by lately, albeit metallic finishes.

It's typical though, I've seen so many Skoda's and Corsa's in a green similar to mine since I got mine done, I took a picture next to a Skoda last week, it's similar but nowhere near it.

The closest colour to mine is the Mercedes Green Hell on the AMG GT.

I like Lambo's for bright vivid colours. I like the oranges they do, Verde Mantis green and some of the purples. Audi do two nice purples in Merlin and Velvet purple.
Everyone knows Merlin so here is Audi Velvet Purple...
Velvet RS4

I'm not sure an S5 can pull off the bold colours like bright purple like an RS can, so think I'm heading down the burnt orange/fiery orange route. Will stand out and look good, without it being too in your face.

I mean coming from the man with the Green A5 I'd say you can go for whatever colour you want bud ;)

Which platform did you contact him on Adam, I'll give him a call!

Before splashing out on a wack coloured wrap, I would suggest you check out @Meemo thread

That poor lass went through the mill picking an awesome colour only to remove it because it was orange peeled to feck.
She has now wrapped it a different colour.
What am trying to say is, make sure you have seen the end result, or have spoken to someone who has wrapped there car in it, because it can become very costly doing it twice.

ah picking colours is so fun :)

My honest opinion now I have spent the best part of a year scrutinising all the brands, colours and finishes is...
flat Glosses are peeley.. like very peeley, the darker the colour the more orange peel you see, this is why I abandoned purple, because it is not flattering to the finish.
However one thing I really noticed is, if you go for any colour with metalic flake in it, you can hardly notice, this seem to have the best finish of the glosses. So of your 2 colours at the beginning, I can already see the flat blue looks like it was painted with a toothebrush, but the metalic looks much smoother.
However.. not everyone is as fussy as I am about peel, but I did get allot of negative comments when I had the Hexis Eldberry Purple and I completely agreed it really ruined the car because of it, see just how extreme the peel is below!

The only finish choice if you HATE peel... is satin or matte and with the range of colours now I think they look really special.

I reeaaaaly recommend the Avery new line, they look beautiful and so different layed compared to how they look in their promos, plus not many people have them yet!

This is the new teal and blissful purple, they really are special. Jamie at Vinyl one is super keen to get a few of these out on cars too, the teal one below is his own car.

Mine was one of the new Avery colours - Lively Green, having had 3M on the previous wrap and Avery, it does seem the Avery is the better quality material.

Hexis wasn't rated very well by the guys who did mine either for what it's worth.

That green is stunning! they really did well on this line, shame their promo doesn't show the shifts well, otherwise I think they would be flying out of the wrap shops.

@Adam14 I am willing to bet the Avery Orange is going to be epic, please let us know if you get to see a sample!

That is the problem, the pics online etc don't do it justice.

I think any of the colours in the new range will look incredible, the feedback on the material and finish when done was that it was one of the best they had been able to use and they've been in the game a long time, seems like it was echoed by your guy too.

I think the Blue or Orange will look unreal, but I'd probably sway with the orange as it's a colour you can't get normally whereas the blue is going to be close to Navara (kind of!)

Thanks for your comments above Meemo, really appreciate it!

I've contacted Jamie via email for a quote, so will go from there! Trying to find a way to get a sample of the Orange that @Benji315 kindly shared as looks pretty special!

I'm pretty settled on orange I think now, so either 3M gloss fiery orange or the AD one above :D

Yep, 100% do it!

Quite Mustangesque too, noticed Ford are smashing it with some of the colours they offer now on those.

just going to leave this here..

Just had a response back from Vinyl1 and have offered a very good quote (thanks to you!) will need to check with my insurance first and try and get a couple samples from them, but will likely book in with them :) Thanks once again! Waiting on response from the other places

oo excited for you! keep us updated :)

Pick the people who will look after you after and during is all I will say.
There is a well know wrap shop withing 20 minutes of my house, I have been going there for years and always liked them...
But when I went to get my quotes and look at the colours, the reason I didn't pick them, was not because of the price, but actually they had done so well they had such a huge team of staff that suddenly I did not know the people there, and that put me off because I wanted whoever was working on it to be putting their whole into it, not passing it person to person. I am sure they would have done a great job still, but I like the more personal boutique places for this stuff.

Also wanted to make sure the aftercare was there and just as well I did pick Jamie because he really fought my corner with Hexis, and I am not sure had I gone anywhere else I would have had the same reception to being unhappy, just to be clear his wrapping was immaculate, truly the best, it was the orange peel of the material I picked I hated which is out of his control..
So read the google reviews on the ones you want to pick :)

I completely agree! Part of the reason I use a local Audi specialist, he's great at his job and I deal with the same person and have a great rapport now!

The work looks top drawer from jamie, have requested some samples and need to make sure my insurance is happy with it! After that it's full steam ahead :)

if it helps, when I was with Admiral and got the first wrap, I phoned and asked prior to the wrap and they said it was not a modification but simply classed as a colour change which they update on their record for the car, not the policy, so I did not even have an admin fee to pay and no increase on premium.
I am now with Brentacre with a modified policy which there is no admin fees anyway, but they seemed to treat it the same way.
