Hi I have aPFL 2016 RS3 8V. I purchased a PP149 pipercross panel filter that should have been compatible for the car.

On attempted fitment its around 5mm larger than the OEM filter and has to be forced by bending in the middle to try and fit, and even then it's not sitting correctly.

Can anyone comment if they are running the same panel filter or recommend a suitably priced alternative ie £40 region

I run a Ramair panel filter as i did on my S3, i wonder if you have been sent the later filter by mistake, i dont know if there is a size difference, just a thought though?
 
If it’s the foam pipercross bin it !! And get a BMC instead.

Pipercross can start to fall apart at the edges and be ingested by your engine, not great.

audi upgrades
T-1000, I haven't been around Audi and RS's for as long as you probably have so I'm wondering why BMC over the other brands, especially K&N? Genuinely interested............and if I'm going to get one (shhhhh:whistle2:) it may as well be the one that suits the car best!:thumbs up:

It’s what was recommended to me by MRC.

You can always use K&N also.

I used to think pipercross were great but after seeing the above and several discussions with various people I decided on the BMC, especially after the MRC recommendation.

The pipercross is teh only version for the 8V as it doesn't fit I removed it but I was already seing evidence of it unzipping. Poorly manufactured it would seem.

Can you send a BMC model nr please T?
 
This is the BMC for the FL 400hp. I got this for mine and have to say the quality is excellent.
