Just curios if anyone has remapped there car and if so what do you think?
I have a pretty standard S-line 190bhp manual and noticed its pretty lacking in power until a certain point and then you get the kick.

Ive checked a couple of places here in Ireland and there all stating about 40bhp gain and about 80 Torque
plus the usual 10% gain in fuel economy ect.

I don't understand how you can make something go faster and have it use less fuel but that's what there stating.
Ive had a friend that stated the clutch couldn't handle the extra power ect.

Any feedback is appreciated..

I would say it is definitely worth it. I have a 2.0tdi A6 177bhp to 210bhp. Fuel didn’t improve by much. The reason for increased fuel efficiency is down to not having to floor it as much to get up to speed and the engine running smoother with less flat spots. Your clutch will be fine as long as your not launching it and depending on your driving will last. My clutch is 280k old remapped since 100k.

To be honest its the wife that drives it daily as I use a van. Is the increase in power very noticeable?
Shes not slow by any means but I just want a little bit more lol

The low down torque and throttle response is noticeable. Who is the company that would be doing it for you? I know some big companies like Revo offer a 14 day money back if it’s not to your satisfaction at some places.

There's couple others, My main concern is the extra wear an tear over the long run but clearly you have had no issues.

I clicked upon no as a tuning box does it almost as well...

Everything wears but as long as you maintain it properly you can’t prevent things from failing sooner. I always let it warm up before going over 2100rpm when boost kicks in.

That's one of my concerns. The wife gets in starts the car and just drives, I often feel like taking the head off her lol

Are you speaking from experience? Are they pre-loaded? If I ordered one from the UK say is it just plug and play?
Yes I have, as my sig does show I have a box fitted to my 2.0tfsi engine, I also had one installed on my 1.4 A3. If you search in the forum you will find that a number of owners have fitted DTUK box with success. @ABYSS in this forum is the MD for DTUK and he will happily answer all your questions.

It will be the torque that will be the most impressive but watch that clutch...

Now you have me worried lol.. That's exactly what a friend said, the clutch won't be able to handle it.

Now the question is.... how do I watch the clutch lol

It was kinda tongue in cheek, if you don't drive the car flat out all the time then I am sure you'll have zero issues. However ask the man @ABYSS they don't tend to release a product likely to cause damage...
