Hi
I have an S3 Saloon with panoramic roof in Floret Silver and am considering having the roof section behind the panoramic roof wrapped in Piano Black Vinyl has anyone else done the same even if not same exterior colour?

I am trying to create the visual joining together of the front screen, panoramic roof and the rear screen by in-filling the roof section in black.
Anyone that has done it please give opinion.

Should look ok. Go for it. If you then don't like it, you can always peel it back off.

I wrapped my PFL with pano rood when I had it. Will see if I can find the photos. Not wrapped my FL with pano however. While the wrap looked good I actually like my Ibis white saloon without.

Yeah I'd think it would look good mate, especially as you have the dark rear windows. I was going to have my A5 coupe done when I first got it, but I wanted the mirrors done as well and he couldn't do them, so I didn't bother!

As an idea:

Hi @S32B
Many thanks for the picture that is exactly the type of image I was imagining and all the better for seeing it on a car. The white black contrast works well and will be similar on mine as Floret silver will create a clean contrast.
I think it is strange that on light coloured cars they fit a black roof aerial and in the picture above the aerial sort of blends in rather than looking like an after thought.

I'm on the fence with this one, as i think the contrast between my panoramic roof (being black) and the car being daytona grey makes it look nice.

Could look good though.. it does on the white car posted up.

Each to their own isn't it, as said by others if it's rubbish then peel it off.. I'd just make sure you go to a decent wrapper so they don't damage the paint when cutting the wrap on the car.

I have absolute confidence in the people I am using, have known them for 15 years as they were and still are the Jaguar Approved repairer for Norwich We used them for all our body/paint needs in my previous life @Inchcape Jaguar Norwich.
It is a place called The Bodycentre, excellent people so really confident of good outcome. Thanks for the warning however as it is a very good point to make; some may damage the car and make the removal, should it be required, not a practical option if it were to reveal paintwork damage from installation of the wrap. The whole idea of wrapping is it can be reversed or you may as well paint it.
As I said earlier I will post before and after for people to make their own judgement on but the white S3 in the photo earlier in the post has made my mind up, its' for me.

I had the wife's roof done on her V6 Astra mk3 in gloss 5D grey carbon around 5 years ago and it's still looking good today. The pictures don't do it justice but give an idea. As long as it's done correctly using the correct vinyl (long-life high quality) then give it a go and if you don't like it simply peel it off using a bit of heat and you'll have no issues.

I have collected the car following the wrap being applied by The Bodycentre in Norwich to the roof section between the Panoramic Roof and Rear Screen.
I am really pleased it looks to me how it should have looked from build, I know it is probably a bit of a Marmite issue but I am delighted with it.
Pictures below as promised in earlier post.

I had a Rieger front splitter fitted at same time before and after below just in case anyone is interested.

Looks good, interestingly the shark fin on my hatchback is body colour, Audi cost cutting again ?

Hi Thanks for comment. Interesting that your fin was body colour, mine as you saw was black against silver body colour which looked odd but now is ok. Pictures don't convey fully how it has visually joined all the components together but as you can guess I am very happy with it now.

I think the roof wrap look good. I wish I'd had a front splitter installed on mine.
