Many moons ago . We had decorators in work to sort out a room for prepping laboratory equipment. The room was sprayed white.....( you can see where this is going).... The window was left open to get rid of the fumes....What the decorators didn't notice while spraying, the next door neighbours metallic red Metro was parked under the window.......We had to pay for a full exterior detail
Lol Think you need your blood pressure checking haha Just kidding. Think I might have reacted the same way back in the day....Not so now though . Funny how getting older mellows you........Now where,s that spray can. Got some painting to do in the works car parkI had a similar situation years ago. Had My then Impreza STI parked outside in the works car park. One of the site supervisors took it upon himself to spray paint, using a can of paint, an Aluminium angle for fixing on site. I heard the can being sprayed and looked outside to see him only a few feet way from my car, while facing it.
Shot out the office door yelling at him to stop. Gave him a f***ing bollocking and shoved him away from my car. Ran back in to get a wet rag to wipe the spray off my car. Luckily it came off. If it wasn't for the fact he was in his 60's, I'd have hit the C**t rather than shoving him. More so after telling me I was overreacting !!
Some people have very little, or no common sense at all.
I can now confirm that IPA works a treat in getting the white paint Mark's off. Done a few testers on discreet areas and it took the paint off. Big test will be the actual car paintwork when I pluck up the courage to use it on there.

No marring as far as I can see. Done the gloss black B pillars now and the mirror surrounds. Windscreen wiper arms back and front. Used autoglym glass cleaner all the time. Didnt touch the white spots. Car has been clayed, polished and waxed post finding the issue. Worked well but not totally, hence the IPA and the G3 fine, which I've not used as of yet. When I do the paint work, thanks @Lehn for the reassuring post. I'll be washing polishing and waxing. Looking to purchase the Halford DA. always wanted to try my hand. But only if I get all the spots off the paintwork. They'd just act as tiny scratch inducers. Can you see any marring in the finish where you tested it? Should be fine if you don't press too hard. It can soften paint, so it might be worth diluting it down with distilled water first, see if it's still effective.
Have you tried glass cleaner, might shift it if the paint was waxed before the spots appeared and would be cheaper too. That or a solvent based tar and glue removal type product may work. Could try these first if you have them.
You'll probably need to clay, compound, polish and wax after, bit of a pain
