Took the plunge yesterday despite having a year of warranty left. So far so good. Fantastic power increase. Red line moved up from 6.8 to about 7.3 and it seems to move with more graduations as the car warms up.

Stationary rev limiter remains in place but the top speed limiter has been removed. Not that I intend to test that. Exhaust is louder but I don't understand how as flaps were already open at low revs in dynamic mode.

No sketchy clutch slip experienced yet. Not dyno'd it but the dude said he expects it's running around 480bhp now.

Car feels properly angry now but can still be stealthy at the press of a button. Very awesome.

I'd be surprised if it was 480bhp.

FL cars if no GPF seem to get about that with just a map, GPF cars allegedly bit lower at 450.

Their estimates are 430 ish to 480 ish. Big difference that isn't it?
Had revo stage 1 on mine but no dyno. Kind of ruins it for me not knowing what the actual power increase was.

Revo website says up to 490PS so and after a logged run apparently mine took to the map well. I'm curious to know the figure too but not enough to have it tested. Although I'd like to know the cost? I think I'd prefer the drag strip to get a real world figure.

Only about £50 I bet for a Dyno run.
Mad you can get near 500bhp with just a map on the FL model but 500bhp for a PFL costs about £4500 haha.

Ace looking car as well. Nardo with the black wheels and black styling pack looks amazing.
Awful Nardo with all the chrome and the full silver wheels.

Agreed. Silver + nardo is NOT a good look for me.

Are you getting more "pops&bangs" than the before, especially on reductions and downshifts?

Only slightly. I had a very satisfying 4 in a row on a down shift. Sounded like a machine gun but only happened the once so far. Not sure how to coax more of these out of it...

The Revo values are to cover different fuels, from 95ron to 99ron, hence the 430 to 480

Is there anything you don't like about the Revo stg1 map ?

Might be too early to say but aside from the warranty issue, nothing yet!

I ran Revo stage 1 on my TTRS for about 15000 miles and it was perfect.

That's good

Was there anything missing from the map that you would have liked. ie. stop/start disable, turning off cold start noise etc.

Only the fact that Audi won't touch it.
My traction control light keeps coming on, Audi "the engine is modified, we can't run diagnostic"

Should not be any impact on Audi being able to do diagnostics.

Your Revo dealer should be able to put it back to stock calibration if needed.

They're just dicks at my local Audi. All the colour came off my driver's seat (leather) and they blamed me for wearing lotion? On my back? With no top on?

The car is on PCP, will they check if it's mapped etc if I decide to give it back at the end of the agreement?

No stop/start disabled and the awful cold start noise still there unfortunately.

But very pleased with performance. Didn't seem as aggressive as the MRC tune I had on my PFL RS3 but still very noticeably faster.

You should get this in writing. The lotion BS is utterly laughable!

Audi UK rang me because I'd emailed them about my seat being ruined. They must have contacted my local Audi then rang me and that's when they told me the lotion thing.
Blackburn Audi quoted me £1775 to fix.

FYI exhaust louder as open all the time when in S.

If you fancied more the PCW mod changes it

Get the odd pop on down shift, very uncontrollable mind you. Sometimes a few little ones, occasionally get one quite loud bang. Sometimes woudnt mind a few more... Maybe in Dynamic so it's controllable to a degree

Stop/start I control with a module Alex sells (vag car coding). Cold start noise annoying still but used to cycling round modes - Button x5 which sorts it

Your car is GPF?

I would like do it to my car but I think I have 4 years warranty...

@neg I don't understand the exhaust change. Prior to the map, I could tell that the flaps were open even at idle... are you saying that perhaps they were only partially open before?

As much as I would like more volume, I'm not going to do it as many race tracks have strict noise limits.

No, it's GPF free.

Even in Dynamic (when stock) the valves will open and close when moving about, stop/start traffic, putting in reverse etc. Revo code it so when engine is in sport they are open all the time - so if you are in Comfort for example and drop the gearbox to S the valves will open all the time.

Recently noticed this with mine. Even though I had the Revo map almost a year ago!

Did you also get the DSG mapped? When I spoke to MRC they said that they almost always include the DSG map even with Stage 1. When I spoke to my local Revo dealer they said no point in the DSG map on a Revo Stage 1?

Why do they map it? Does it stop clunky gear changes like mine in low gears?
I'd go with what MRC say over Revo. If I lived anywhere near MRC I'd have had them map mine rather than Revo.

Sorry I'm not 100% sure why MRC suggest the DSG map at the same time, but hey they know what there talking about so I'm not going to disagree I'm just surprised Revo don't? I've just looked and cannot actually see a specific Revo map for the 2.5 DSG, they have one for the 2.0 so maybe its the same?

DSG map is to do with clamping pressure given increased torque afaik.

In dynamic the flaps are open at idle, then as you move up the rev range they close for a bit low down, then open again as you go past a certain RPM.

I forget where in the rev range it changes but believe that's what happens.

A map or valve controller can make them be open the whole time.

TVS TCU maps are another alternative. Not just clamping pressure but drivability characteristics are changed. Doesn't hold the gear in S for as long for example, doesn't down so quick too etc.

Could you have MRC do the DSG map on a car that's got a Revo Stage 1 ECU map?

No need for a DSG map with a Revo stg1 engine map, stage 1 is intended to be an engine flash only. Of course if you want a DSG map then MRC, TVS etc can do it even if you have Revo engine software.

@rjb79 It's here https://www.onlyrevo.com/product-details/software/audi/rs3/353/stage-1

No, DSG map not offered. Does not seem necessary from what I can tell. I don't suffer from clunky gear changes. I've read that anything beyond stage 1 it's advisable in order to avoid any slip. Gear changes are a bit harsher when you're really gunning it now but it's not really a prob.

Hi Bonstio, love the colour combo on the Nano Grey. I have them same on Aura Blue. I am looking at getting Revo Stage 1 on my 2018 FL no GPF, just having a year warranty left is putting me off a bit. What Ron fuel are you running? As I am in Ireland and 95ron at the pump.

I'm running 99 but with the dongle you can choose from a number of maps incl a 95 one.
