Charlie Farley's 350BHP & beyond 2.0tfsi BUL Engine and K03/4 upgrade project, maybe just 300bhp now.

From some initial web searches etc it would appear that Badger5 are the only uk outlet for IE parts , and i'm not sure IE will sell directly from the states now.

IE will sell through ECS tuning in the States but the time to buy was black friday.

Remember to lube for import duty.

You can get some bits via ecs tuning through either awesome gti or psi tuning, do a bit of research what you want then email which ever for prices, ive used both in the last couple months

I see , but didn't ECS say they would only sell in the uk now via awesome GTI.

Import duty, now there's a dirty word...:sadlike:

I've nothing against awesome but just get the feeling they are wacking the price up for us uk buyers.

The dealers of what and where i have found jump around regularly.

Just something ive found if you work on the price in dollars on ecs/ie website is basically what your going to pay in pounds sterling you shouldnt be too shocked by prices

Completely agree with you on this - in the last year I feel like I’ve seen prices double.

Mine are not that deep these days , need to divert more to the trusty pension pot aswell which is a pain but has to be done.

I'm off loading some ducati factory racing bike parts I don't need anymore , quite rare kit so worth a nice little bit now, no point having all these parts and just letting them go to waste.

Just realising some lost potential really.

Just out of interest, what did you order? I believe they’ve struck a deal on certain products with awesomegti.
What we're talking about in here plus a catch can setup and intake.

I wasn't aware of any supply deals but this was back in November time I think.

Yeah I ordered with ECS last year direct for my catch can. Now it states online you can’t order that product for delivery to the uk - but you can get it on awesomegti for near double the price.

Awesomegti are a rip off for mugs with too much money. I did notice they provide finance, presumably via paypal, which might explain why folk use them for big purchases.

I didn't use the finance option when getting ecs induction kit and the 034 high flow and i can confirm i haven't got loads of money and I'm definitely not a mug! i just couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else and i heard good reviews on the company and they delivered fast so i choose them....If anyone knows a better place for getting the parts for the 2.0 tfsi cheaper let me know as id love to save some pennies but when upgrading cars with good quality brands i never expected it to be cheap.

I’m not knocking the company! Far from it - I’ve ordered stuff from awesomegti and it has been, well... awesome! Great website, good customer service and brilliant delivery.

It’s just I’ve noticed they seem to have a strangle hold on the ECS stuff in the UK - which is good business sense on their part... it just hurts us in the wallet.

Yeah definitely agree there i haven't been shopping around long enough to see prices go up but i found it hard to find what i wanted anywhere else let alone much cheaper but thats probably why awesomegti have put prices up over time, guess thats fluctuation for you....and greed lol

Nope, still going full steam ahead with as much as I can get with my newly revised budget.
It would appear my original £4K has flown out the window so had to up it bit more, new budget is most definitely the limit now.

Crazy mate, I thought the full ko4 conversion would be around 3k and see an easy 350hp so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what weapon your creating :)

Do you have a time frame in mind?

Its because I moved the goalpost , and with that increase comes a lot more uprated parts.
I'm going to rebuild the donor engine ground up and use as many uprated parts as required and that's where the costs get a bit steep, so I will in effect get a top spec engine that is going to be reliable and produce the desired effect.
Don't forget my budget is the total to do the upgrade , but I have certain parts already so I could knock off almost £2500 from the total bill already, so that brings my outlay to a much more acceptable figure.

Don't have a time frame as such Ricky , I cant see the point in rushing it and making silly mistakes.
I need to order a fair few bits from the states so they will take a while, then rebuild the engine etc and fit it all in around normal life.
Probably looking at April time before I have something useable, well that is provided no probs or delays occurs , which is allways possible.

Aslong as you get to use her for the summer Rob you can enjoy the beast in the 2 weeks of good weather we get then.

If things go well may throw caution to the wind and take it for a spin around the Ring on a week off.

I’ve been away for a few months and your back on the power trip again! Nice. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out as I’m definitely considering the K04 route myself.
Just a note on Awesome, I’ve found it’s always best to call them and haggle, never buy online as there prices are always on the high side.

Ultimately when this is done the old bus will still look the same inside , outside and for the most part under the bonnet.
The engine contents and extras that will make the difference, oh yes and the performance....:yahoo:

Really just another black A4 B7 avant to look at but with attitude.

Just done another tally up on parts and it's a lot to get to 450 , maybe doing something in between at 400 ish , i'll see how things go as i'm awaiting a costing from IE in the states for all the engine parts to do a 450 uprated lump.

Sky is the limit with tuning mate you have to draw the realistic line somewhere i guess, either way 400hp even losing a bit to the wheels through 4wd drivetrain will still be enough to get the blood flowing and completely leave rs4’s behind, all they will be seeing is some flames coming out while your given it the nuts.

I think it's because I've choosen to do a full rebuild of the engine and use as many uprated part as possible, approx. cost as of now £4k for engine block and head alone.
I'm going to have a think on it over night and make a deffinate descision on weather to stick with the original plan plus a bit more (350-400), or, go for the big one...

my head hurts now:bye:

Will be keeping an eye on this. 350 is easily achievable without changing internals. If you want to go beyond that it is advised.

I’ve gone KO3 hybrid on mine. Hoping to finally get a map on it in the next couple months.

Im on about £4300 for my build but that includes a southbend stage 3 clutch which cost £750. Bought it as my original clutch was knackered and it’s future proofed for if I get bored and decide to go BT and forged engine

Add meth, fmic and nice 3” exhaust all the way back on top of normal K04 stuff and you’ll no doubt break 350bhp easily, don’t quote me but I think 400bhp is where the internals become a problem, I can’t remember the quoted torque figure.

maybe someone like @Rick @ Unicorn Motor Dev. might know the limitation of the internals?
