HNY everyone.

Can someone please help me with a part number for the spare wheel & tyre for A6 C8 Avant - 50 Quattro?

Or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance

There isn't one, just a repair ( inflation ) kit. At least not in mine and I have same car as you.

I read on these boards you have to buy a wheel from a third party because Audi don't do them.

https://www.thewheelshop.co.uk/ I got one from this company and it fits perfect, much more piece of mind now if i get a puncher, got one shortly after getting the car and the repair kit included was useless to be honest,
I contacted the wheel shop saying I had 19" wheels and they quoted on a 20" space saver spare saying that the actual size of the tyre doesn't matter . I find that difficult to believe, surely a 19" wheel has a 19" spacesaver, no ?

No and my C7 had 17 inch wheels with a 20 inch spare. One of the reasons they limit the speed

Pretty sure that this has been asked before but want to make 100% sure...

Has anyone actually bought the space saver from the above shop? I want to confirm that the sub (standard Audi audio) fits inside the space saver.

I've had two Q5's - one with a space saver and one without (both with standard subs). I kept the space saver from the first to use in the second and the sub wouldn't fit in the space saver :frown:

Hi, I did indeed buy the spare wheel for my C8 from thewheelshop. I have the B&O sound system (C&S pack) and the wheel fits above the sub - IIRC I had to disconnect the cable from the sub (easy), look the cable over or under the wheel, I forgot which, and plug it back in.

Hi Paul
I also bought the spacesaver spare wheel for my C8 with the Audi Sound System, as MCarda said just disconnect the sub, but in the spare wheel and re connect. no problem.

Thanks for that guys!

Only interesting thing you mention is that the wheel fits above the sub. In my Q5, the sub sat on top in the up-turned wheel. Sounds like it fits slightly differently?

Now you have me paranoid and thinking I put it in the wrong way round! Well it fits this way, at least. Will have a nose around another time when there’s daylight.

Very helpful information and link.

Has anybody fitted these? I also have an A6 C8 50

BTW. Has the A6 C8 s-line got a tool kit for wheel change or do I need to add this to the order.

Frankly. Seriously p***ed Audi don’t provide a spare as the A6 C6 and A6 C7 did.

Yes tool kit is provided. Regarding no spare this is primarily down to saving weight so they can reduce the CO2 level and help keep the total Audi average CO2 below the required threshold and avoid hefty penalties from the EU

Same car as you. Got a puncture with just over 1000 miles on clock. Kwik-Fit mobile came, changed wheel and told me tyre inflation kit was useless and to call Audi assist if I broke down on a motorway. Cheesed off like you, but a brilliant car, though. I use dynamic mode all the time, mainly for the feel. 20" tyres, 38 psi all round.
