A4 B6 AVANT REAR SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFER FAULT

Looking for some assistance. I have posted in ICE forum as well. I'm sure there is info about this somewhere in the forums, did a search in this one and ICE with no hits on right problem

Some time ago I replaced the factory head unit(non bose) with a Pioneer AVH X3500DAB. I cant remember if everything worked OK after this but a few weeks ago a happened to be checking the sound to the rear speakers and sub and realised they werent working. I recall when fitting you had to re connect a blue wire that powered rear amp so thought I must have forgotten to do this, then just left it alone.

Pulled head unit today and found i had connected a blue/white from aftermarket harness to blue amp wire in car. i checked the connection and when plugged/unplugged, I could hear a click coming from what I presume is a relay in at the sub in the boot.

I plugged in the original factory stereo to check if rear speakers and sub would work again but only sound from the front speakers.

Is there a common issue with rear speakers/sub that might be present. A fuse or a common connector to rear speakers that might be loose? The only work done anywhere in rear doors was a glass replaced a few years ago in the NSR door.

Any help much appreciated.

I had a peek in there but didnt look really close. Am I correct in saying that power for these speakers goes to the amp in the boot, then back out to the speakers but audio signals go from headunit, to the speakers?

No, all the signals go from the headunit to amp, then to speakers. Is yours a bose set up? When you replaced the old headunit did you take the cable adapter from the new headunit out and connect direct to the car. Ive got a feeling youve got the wrong wiring.

Hi

It's non bose. I had to buy a wiring loom to connect ISO plugs. Only extra wiring was joining power feed to amp, which is getting power as I hear it click on. What was concern was when I plugged original symphony stereo back in, I have the same issue, no rear speakers. None of the factory wiring has been cut or butchered.

Symphony was connected back into factory wiring, with extra loom removed. At this moment I'm not worried about getting the aftermarket unit working, just want 4 speakers and sub again with symphony unit in place.
