Hi everyone :)

I need some help. I'm planning to do a full de-chrome on my a3 2017 sedan. I have almost everything - new black logos and badges. All chrome parts will be covered with vinyl wrap. But I cant find only original exhaust tailpipe trim for my car.

Friend of mine bought chrome ones for his a3 sedan. (8V0 071 761), but no info on black ones.
p.s. on photo they look black, but they are actually chromed.

On my previous a3 8p I bought original black ones. So I still hope that the black ones exist. I know that Skoda Yeti's exhaust trims fir perfectly, but they have only chromed ones. Does anyone know where can I get black originals?

Maybe some one of you guys, bought those from another model a4/a5/a6 or something? And they fit? :)

Please help me finish all black styling to my car :)

The S3 saloon tailpipes come off, this is what I did and then had them powder coated gloss black. I'd assume the A3 saloon would be similar but can't confirm. Plenty of threads on here about removing the tailpipes on the S3 which might help you.

Thanx fro reply :)
I don't want to paint those cuz they are chromed, and I afraid that the paint will not last long. Pipes are getting pretty hot in summer. U are using some special temperature resistant paint? Have you removed chrome before paintjob?

Powder coated will comfortably survive the heat of the exhaust, I had a local industrial place do the work, after a year (sold the car) and the pipes were still like brand new.

I brought a set of custom tips to a local powder coating factory. They told me that the powder coat can survive 150 degrees Celsius of heat. Can the tips be warmer?

Look shiny! What paint was it? I tried to paint mine with a rattle can three times but never got a desired result. But mine are bigger and must be painted both inside and outside. That's why I chose to powder coat them in satin black.

Actually I have no idea what paint was used. Guys who were wrapping my car took this to their paint shop and painted it. I think they told me it was 2 part brake calipers paint or something like this. I'm not 100% sure, I just remember it was a paint consisted of 2 parts. But they told me they are using it all the time for pipes and it works perfectly. So I said yes :D

So gentlemen :)

I finally upgraded a key :D Unfortunately it is not OEM solution. It is only chineese keyfob replacement case. Although this chineese case was made for old key without kessy and with different battery type connection, I was lucky to mod it to fit 2017 kessy key. Everything works just how it should.

The only issue that this key is not true OEM solution and doesn't feel as OEM key would in hand :D But we have what we have :D
