What have you done today?

I’m keen to get my car on there to see what she kicks out on the new system. Did Bill get an answer on being able to get comparisons like his current system.

Not directly as in I don't believe there would be a way to import the data but I have a few ideas on making the data available for reference purposes

Got my Offside tie rod end sorted via Kwikfit and then got the wheel alignment. They are such girls about setting it how I want it! So we came to a compromise.....

Not overly happy with the rear camber to be honest. What do you guys think?

Apparently they have “Policies” which they have to follow. No comebacks and all that.... I have to go back anyway, turns out my steering wheel isn’t running true when the car drives straight.

Happy new year All

2 day hangover, enough was enough, needed to feel fresh air on my face

thermostat changed
spark plugs done
Moved the motor for the first time in a few weeks felt NSR brake bind on move off, magic cars running well all good .....oh hello ......3 beeps and ABS ESP warning lights on the f£@king dash
Got a Vcds lite lead, fired up, no faults but it won’t communicate with ABS module. Hoping it’s just crud needing cleared out or a wheel speed sensor??. Stopped there, Couldn’t be *****, parked in garage, back in the house for tea and chocolate biscuits

This is what happens when car manufacturers decide to stop giving you spare wheels!

Other than that. Audi e-Tron is an awesome car

Fortunately Ive got a really good relationship with a local tyre company who have come to the rescue.

Got round to getting my 18x9J Rota G-Force alloys fitted with Yokohama AD08RS 245/40R18 tyres. No rubbing/scrubbing issues... I’ve got 20mm spacers on the rear and 10mm spacers on the fronts.

spent all day down at a mates garage fixing the scout. blocked dpf, go to workshop warning, limp mode etc etc. usually clears nice after a quick run around the M60, but on this occasion, it wouldn't.

bought a can of normfest DPF 100 as a last chance before having it 'sorted' and threw it in. went for a drive, lights were still on so wasnt happy. 1 hour later, went to move the car back onto the ramp and amazingly the dpf and coil light were off and the issue was sorted!
very happy as i have been told by everyone that these types of cleaners dont work. this did :)

also booked the S3 in for compression test and a few other bits to be done prior to new stem seals as i wanna be sure its the seals and not rings. [all points at seals]

i would heep them mirrors original, much better looking

Do u have ur car lowered or do the alloys just fill the caps better?

Cars sat on B8 shocks and 25mm H&R springs mate. The side wall of the tyres are bigger than what I did run. My genuine RSTT alloys have 225/40R18 tyres on them. You have to remember that the tyre wall size of the tyre is a percentage of the width. So 40% of 225 is smaller than 40% of 245.

Long and short of it is, these wheels and tyres take up 8mm more arch gap, but also raises the car by 8mm. Which I am actually pleased with because I have had some clearances issues with my exhaust in the past lol

Good choice of spacers mate...great minds think alike  looks sweet.

I picked up a set of cheap black mirrors not long after I got my S3...

https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threa...e-thread-my-baby-is-home.261997/#post-2686839

Still in the box,was toying with changing them as well but easier to spot my car in the car park of hatchbacks with the chrome mirrors.

If you venture anywhere near Oxford,I'd willingly lend them to you for a while if you wanted to try black...as they say...once tried, you won't go back!

Been slowly slowly replacing my hoses in the car with silicone over the last couple of weeks..it has made my engine bay look so much nicer and tidier. But today finally tackled the inlet manifold. Painted a replacement one in black last week as I snapped a bolt for the fuel rail in the last one. Put it in this morning and looks so much better next paint my rocker cover yellow and put that in :)

got up, showered.
brew n tablet [omeprazzole for reflux]
talked to partner at work...no point going in, but stuff to sort at the unit [broke into on thursday]
sat on pc for a while, some good driving tunes found. no car to test them in yet tho ;)
bro n sis messaged on whatsapp with worries. bro has a young family, sis has none. both feel scared.
another brew.
lemon tea is great btw.
painted the back room,
lit the fire and got it nice n toasty. the cats appreciated that :)
wife said no test as the powers that be haven't rolled em out yet. shes key worker like TJ's
give the little un a hug, 10 years old and doesn't know what this is all about.
back to the pc. DOOM . class. not done this for a while, but still, what a distraction.
texted garage not to start ripping engine down as i believe its not what the 'engine specialist ' is magically predicting it is.
made tea for family.
had beer.
had more beers.

typical day i guess.

one thing i will say, and im sorry if its against forum rules, check out a guy called Dr John Campbell on youtube. its about the best, clearest info/advice as to our current situ i have found.

stay safe all.

Eternal or Doom 2016? (assuming Eternal)... its on my list but I have so many games to play at the moment I can wait (for a steam sale lol)

Mostly playing Forza and The Division 2 at the moment with a bit of Ghost Recon Breakpoint (currently on missions with Sam Fisher!! :D)

Oh and finally sorted my water cooling loop... have had the parts since christmas but not had time to actually sort it all out...

nice setup :)

nope, 2016 doom i cant justify 50 notes for a game currently, not tight, just saving for car parts ;)

did you self build that tuffty? looks a little bit of a beast tbh. how's the AMD core too, im thinking of shifting over on my next build. running a i76700k, 512gb samsung v-nand ssd, 2 tb wd backup, ROG 1080, 16gb ram, h110 cpu cooler, maximus mobo, evga 850GQ psu all in a inwin 902 black glass case [which is terrible for cooling] and a 27inch 144hz monitor. used to build pc's before i got into the telecom trade and its something i still love doing now.

gonna grab some ginger tea too, not thought of trying that. its weird, coz now i dont like tea with mike in it :D

Yeah, self built... AMD cpu is awesome...

Current spec is
Ryzen 3700x CPU
Asus ROG Strix B450 F Gaming mobo
32gb Corsair DDR4 3200mhz RAM
Asus ROG Strix 2080ti OC GPU
Corsair RM850i PSU
Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL case
500gb Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe boot drive
2 x Crucial 500MX 2tb SSD's for game storage
1 x 4tb WD Red HDD for general storage
Viewsonic XG2401 24" 144hz monitor
8 x Nzxt AER RGB fans
Full Corsair HydroX custom water cooling solution

Obvs the 9900K is arguably the gaming daddy but bang for buck you cannot beat the current Ryzen CPU's
