Just been on a drive and had no boost what so ever. I can hear induction noise as though the turbo is spooling but not getting any power what so ever. This lends me to think there is a leak somewhere On the cold side. However I did also find this f**ker which was wrapped in tape. Hard to tell from the photos but there are two gaping holes.

Could this be the problem?

I would have thought I’d still have boost if this was the issue but then lose it when changing gear.. someone please correct me

Looks like a breather pipe to me, that would give you the symptoms of what your experiencing. If there was tape on it, someone already knew this was a problem.

That pipe looks like the top breather pipe and while it will give issues on vacuum (idle/cruise) it shouldn't give issues as such under boost...

I would get the car scanned in the first instance to see if its gone into limp mode for some reason...

Does this happen from cold? is the problem intermittent?

Yeh, it’s the triple job off the crankcase. Yes I know.. there are a few other things too that he failed to mention

This is the first time it’s happened and from cold yes. I was hoping it would liven up once it has warmed up on the journey but nothing happened. Just felt as though it was running NA

ok... without a scan for codes then its a little trickier to work out whats going on but if the ECU is in limp then there will be a code so need to see what that is really...

Next time it does this try cycling the ignition and see if it goes away... there is a fault that happens when the outside temps register as 5deg or lower and can cause this issue...

...this is of course assuming that there isn't a boost pipe hanging off somewhere :)

I should have one of those pipes from the rocker cover if that's what it is. I cant really tell if it is that pipe.
If I have it I'll let you know and I'll get it posted over to you and you just cover the postage?
