Hi guys,

I'm sure a few new A4/S4 with the new touchscreen MMI are here. Picked up mine this weekend and while the car is great struggling with the MMI, I have
1) Successfully created an account which I can login to https://login.audi.com/
2) Successfully created a key user in the car
3) Successfully used the myAudi app on my iPhone which shows the car and status (range, mileage, lock status etc) and can remotely unlock the car from the app.

However various Audi Connect services in the car itself are not working. Specifically I can't sent sat nav addresses to the car from the app (I don't see the 'Received destinations and tours' alongside last destinations, favorites and contacts in the 'Select destination' dialog,

Just checking whether new model users have managed to login to the car. I can't seem to get through the setup wzard in the car (using the same email address username and password as I used in the app). I always seem to get "You could not be logged in, please try again later". My dealer said the MMI system was notorious for having weekend outages (tried to get it all set up the week) but it is now Monday :)

Any other new model users done this OK, or have any tips to resolve?

Screen shot 3 is the error I always seem to get.

Thank you in advance,

Have been getting the “You cannot be connected” since I picked my car up 3 weeks ago. Audi customer services informed me today when I rang for the 4th time, that the “global” problem has not yet been sorted, nor could they offer any idea as to when this problem will be resolved. Their advice - “Just keep trying on a daily basis”!!!!!!!

Thank you Soot1e for your response. Glad it is not just me. I’ll give Audi CS a call myself. As a brand new customer coming from BMW this is not a great first impression of their technology but I’ll admit the car is great. I guess we are relatively early adopters, one of the first cars to have the new interface, but these issues should really be sorted out in testing. 3 weeks!!!!

Soot1e (or anyone else having this issue) What services are we actually missing out on by not being able to complete set up and log in?
1. I think that the Emergency call is one (so if we crash and the air bags go off, perhaps the SOS call does not work?)
2. I can't seem to get the 'Send to car" work from Google Maps on a PC or the myAudi app. I assume this is the case?
3. Anything else?

Would be good to be armed with 'what I am missing' when I call customer services to complain and seek compensation for services not being delivered

Greyed out services?

SOS is linked to onboard SIM so that should not be affected. Certainly the nav send to car from the app is affected and on iPhone and iPad I get a server error message when attempting to get All equipment details. I think if you have any POIs these are also restricted by not being able to log in.

If the key hasn't been designated to the owner of the car by the dealership ill affect the SOS?

As for the services outage, Audi has claimed this was all fixed on the myaudi website...

The only service not working for me is texting from the car, this seems to happened since the licenses rolled over to another year from it's standard three years free connect. Don't know why this is so and haven't had the time to look into yet. I just assume that the car is sending texts through the phone anyway..

Thank you cuke2u. Do you have a 2020 model A4 and by any chance is your login a gmail or google account? I read elsewhere that these often work better with the Send to Car feature from the MyAudi app.

I remember this happening on my old C7, but don't know if it's applicable to the B9; there was a separate licence for SMS dictation and Audi had only extended the "main" licence for me. I had to pester Audi CS for ages to extend the dictation licence as well.

No sorry I have a 66 plate A4 and I use the same login in to Google send to car as my MyAudi registered email and passwords. However to first log on to the MMI connect I used a pin generated by MyAudi..

Thanks, this is what I am thinking. I need to go back into the licenses and check...

I'm still able to send texts from mine. It wouldn't work though until I ticked the text declaration, which I don't recall doing when I got the car.

Ok thanks for the info, to avoid being accused of hijacking another's thread I will probably start a new one on this for other users info once I've looked at my MMI.

Update on my issues and perhaps the one that Soot1e has.

Spoken to my dealer, and they say that for the "Send location to car",
1) The apps needs to show a share function
2) The car needs to have "Received Destinations and Tours"

Although all looks good in my Audi and at the back end, I'm going to have to have a dealer visit to investigate this with a view to resolve.

I also confirmed
3) For 2020 Audi A4 the app to use in "myAudi" not the "Audi Connect" or any other app

Hopefully this information is useful to anyone having a similar issue. I'll report back after my dealer visit.

Correctly working myAudi app has Calculate route

Hi there,
Just bought a brand new A4 2020 model. Having the exact same issues. Have you found any work around for this issue?
Thanks

Did your dealer set up your account and activate the keys beforehand; thus registering for Connect services, etc?

Mine did originally against. My latest dealer asked me to change my password to the generic and they logged in and have done all the registering of keys and services against my account. I have now changed it back to my own password.

RSQ3 Audi Connect issues

Looks like I'm not the only one with Audi connect issues!

Took delivery 4 weeks ago & it's taken almost 3 weeks to get the app on my iPhone to work.

The MMI wants me to log in each & every time & start the car, even after a fuel fill up I've got to enter my user name & password.

I've complained to Audi (no response) to the dealer & to Audi Digital but still no success.

It's an absolute disgrace, I've been given a raft of excuses from "there's server issues to the car needs time to update" & right now I'd hand the car back.

Has anyone managed to find a way around this continuous login farce by chance?

It's not rocket science, the X3 we replaced this with works perfectly fine..

Help please,,

Following could be the issue (dates are DD/MM/YYYY)

Dear myAudi user,
there will be technical updates to the myAudi system between 07/08/2020 and 12/08/2020. During this period, login and registration and myAudi connect services will be unavailable as follows:

  • myAudi login: Not available on 10/08/2020 between 9:00 and 22:00 (UTC+2)
  • myAudi registration: Not available between 07/08/2020 (13:00 UTC+2) and 10/08/2020 (22:00 UTC+2)
  • Vehicle login: Not available between 10/08/2020 (9:00 UTC+2) and 12/08/2020 (22:00 UTC+2)
You will also be automatically logged out once from the myAudi Web Portal, the myAudi App and in your vehicle. You do not need to register again.

We ask for your assistance by checking that your required personal data is complete and correct (title, first name, last and, only for users registered in Italy: phone number). If data in your myAudi account is incomplete or incorrect, please update it by 23:59 (UTC+2) on 09/08/2020. Please log in to your myAudi account and navigate to the account settings under personal data to update your details.

Incomplete or incorrect accounts cannot be used in the future, as they will be deleted during the technical upgrades. You can of course create a new myAudi account at any time.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Cheers Airfan, the wife's out at the mo but I'll try later. Sorry to say but BMW wins not issues on tech!

I got the car 3 months ago and I wasn't able to set myself as key user. It was telling me there is connection issue. I've decided to wait after the update to try again. Now in myAudi app it says I have to go to the dealer in order to register as key user although I've been there already and I've signed the contract to become a key user. Strange...

Tip, if you get it working don't try to add another user. I've just tried adding my wife as a local user to see if it would save the electric seat settings and now cannot log back in with my MyAudi user. "Try again later"

I got my RSQ3 in July 2020, the app's not worked from day 1. It's 14th September & Audi Digital, the dealer & Audi Customer service are still asking me to be patient saying they're working on it!

The car went to the local dealer on Friday, the tech guy I spoke with said "It's a known issue & Audi are working on a fix, don't hold your breath"

I'm going to reject the car if it's not sorted soon.

Audi make nice looking cars but their Tech is crap & their service is a disgrace

I had this for a number of months in my 2020 A4 and had a couple of beta software updates applied by the dealer. Non of this worked. Eventually the Gateway Control Unit was replaced in the car as advised by Audi Digital. This has resolved all issues. They know the fix but it is an expensive one for them. Keep the pressure on.

Hi Andy,

Many thanks for your message. I'll have another chat & see if it brings any joy.

I'm ready to reject the car but my wife loves it!

Hi,

this is my first post on the forum so hello everyone :) My 2020 A4, received in June, had issues with losing favorite/received navigation destinations and forcing me to re-log in every couple of days. Also sometimes logging unsuccessfully. There is a TSB for that very issue, I had firmware update done by the dealer a week ago. At this moment it seems to resolve the issue.
