Hey recently bought a4 b7 3.2 FSI, long shot but consider if it’s possible to add turbo to 3.2 and if it worth it?

Might hate me for saying this but surely starting with a 2.0t would have made more sense.

From a brief search a company called "Storm Developments" seems to have made a turbo kit for a car in the past and numerous people have stuck superchargers on, probably find more info on Golf R32's as they have more of a 3.2 lump following, realistically budget a few grand and times it by two if not doing it yourself.

The 3.2 in the r32 is a totally different engine derived from the earlier vr6 the a4 auk v6 is more like the fsi v8 in the s5 but with less cylinders. Whilst turboing is always possible it's not a straightforward job on the auk engine due to the high compression level 12.5:1 with most turbo engines around 9.5:1. A more likely solution would be a supercharged version using the later 3.0 supercharged v6 from The b8 s4 however this brings it's own problems too.

I think going to a b7 S4 would have been a better option than modifying a 3.2 to be honest, but personal preference really.

Yep with prices as they are now the cheapest option for more power is upgrade to the s4 or a modified 2l turbo or the rs4 probably in that order of cost and power.

Yeah I was thinking if upgrading 3.2 FSI is worth money or just buy S4. S4 is turbo charged?
What about buying turbo from s4? It will fit to a4?

The b7 S4 is not turbo charged, it is non fsi v8 with about 340bhp as standard. The v8 could be turbo'd as it is lower compression than the v6 however there is very little space in the b7 engine bay with the v8 fitted. there are supercharger kits available for the v8 but they are very expensive. There is a little bit that can be done to the v8 to make close to 400bhp without turbo or supercharging. However if you want more power then the rs4 is a better starting point.

I used to have a 3.2 cab and upgraded to the s4 cab and the s4 is a much better car. My s4 is currently for sale on the classified section.

The B8 S4 is a supercharged 3.0 V6
B7 platform is a V8 as said above

The B8 S4 can be made into a pretty quick car just with the addition of a remap. They are quite reasonable in price these days as they are nearly 10 years old.
