I’m considering a second set of wheels to use with some winters. Whilst I love my wheels I don’t want them ruined during the poor weather and salty roads. I’ve looked for a wheels thread but can’t find one. I could have missed it so feel feee to link to it if there is one. If not, it would be great to share everyone’s favourites for the B9. Own or dream wheels, all welcome!

Hoping for some wide ranging responses....

Also interested in picking up a set of wheels for winter so keeping a keen eye
 
Eventually went for these in 18"for the S4 & Nokian (winters)...after SO much deliberation that I just started hating wheels and all things round :gun2:


Got a deal from mytyres for alloys & tyres (correct offset etc unlike above) ...although they came with damage to one alloy and most of the balancing weights had fallen off in transit :blue:

Another question for you guys that understand wheels.

I have a 2017 s-line with standard 18"wheels and I really want 19's

I like the V spoke 19's that are on a lot of B9's (a standard S4 wheel I think?), I also like the RS6 style.

Can anyone recommend me a good replica manufacturer(s) that are also at a sensible price. Thankyou
 
Don’t go replica, every replica I have had cracks or distorts after a couple of years, get OEM, even 2nd hand off eBay is much better, I got the 19 V’s fully refurbished for 600, I doubt a full set of replica would be much cheaper

Is the correct answer. Replicas IMO are to be approached with extreme caution and often genuine wheel and tyre sets on eBay are better. I’m considering some myself as a lower cost option.
 
Funnily enough I have been looking at a second set of alloys too, I bought some winter tires last year and I went with the Continental TS860 on the standard 19" wheels which were excellent but the thought of paying 80-90 quid every spring and autumn to have them changed over is annoying so best having a second set of wheels

I been looking at some refurbished wheels on Ebay and there is a few good choices to choose from I quiet like the look of these one's below they are from a A5 but there is no mention of the center bore size? I would imagine it would be the same as the A4 66.6mm

On another note be very careful buying replica alloys!! I been there and done that and never again! I bought some replica's for my last Audi A4 and they didn't last long! The were soft as sh#t and I buckled one and cracked another so be aware

Standard wheel was the 18’’ as per the screenshot. The V spoke were a 550 upgrade and the 5V were £1200.

Totally agree don’t go replica if you can help it.

Are there any places that are a safer bet than a random person on Ebay?

Like a place that refurbs them but they are still significantly cheaper than from Audi?

I've seen quite a few adverts for first aid wheels but I obviously haven't got a set of identical wheels as I want to go from 18's to 19's.
 
Does anyone know what the offset is on my 2017 3.0 Tdi 218 is please?
(I think its 39?)

I currently have standard 18" inch wheels on.

How many offsets can you move +/- on the scale before it becomes a problem?
 
I'm looking at 19" Cava as seen on S5. Anyone got any views how they would be on a black chrome sline A4?

I dont necessarily mean how they fit I mean if I'm breaking some unspoken rule putting S5 wheels on an A4.

I don’t think there are personally any rule breakages here.. I like those wheels and considered some myself. We are somewhat limited with Gen Audi wheels because of the 66ml centre bore, so needs to be something from a more recent substantially sized model!

Let us know what you go for.

Admittedly after this winter use, I aim to get these stripped and re done in graphite grey as whilst they looked great with a Daytona they are not my personal colour preference against the Navarra. Still they’re mint, ready wrapped in Michelin Alpin winters and a fifth spare alloy just in case.

I can’t justify a few k on another new set just yet... according to the Mrs ;)

Question.

Would S5 cavo wheels on an A4 sline which will stick out an extra 14 mm look ****** stupid?

I think the front can absorb the extra, but not as sure about the back

Current wheels are 8J and ET40. New wheels are 8.5J and ET32.
