my car used to have rns-e but i have bought a concert and it wont power up ? is the quadlock diffrent 2005 a4 b7
 
Does the concert HU not use iso connectors? My symphony did so had to use a patch lead when retrofitting the RNSE
 
The pinouts for Symphony II+/Concert II quadlock are VERY slightly different from the RNS-E (the Symphony/Concert variants communicate through the K-Line, but the RNS-E uses the CANBUS. Need to move a couple of pins around to make it work.
Basically need to do the reverse of this guide:

Much simpler than it looks at first glance, and even easier if you don't have Bose!

That probably accounts for the issues I had when changing from concert to rns-e mk2 , I had to mess around with the k-line cable aswell.
