I am so confused.

So, If I'm reading this right, you stuck a v6 in it, and it's now going back to a BAM?

I just want to feel the air in my bouffant :glee:

No no... in the end the red tape to have things “officialised” to just sell wasn’t worth my time and headache making appointments to get tests done on the emissions, brakes, the SRS system (basically one engineer telling me I’d need to crash the car to prove the SRS would work with the VR6 in it... wtf!!!) and other hurdles - it was quicker (clearly) for me to just change it all back for the reason of selling.

Both the TT Roadster and the S3 ...

Got the body/o2 side harness in this morning so now the 1.8t can swing back in. So much easier to fit it than the 3.2!

Now where are my curlers???

Your 3.2 was the later engine then with the cast crank if it had return less fuel system? Mines got a return :)

Nah mine is a BML :)
Definitely forged crank

you wanna see a pic of the car it was from? it’s quite a sight to say the least!

I used the mk5 rail because it came with injectors and was the most cost effective option at the time due to my kit missing them - plus it is FAT compared to the mk4’s rail. Along with the shallower/baffled mk5 sump.

Been putting this job off for ages where my headlight had dropped.
Looking inside the ball joint broke off the adjusting section leaving the headlight pointing directly down.

heated up the light in The oven and pried it open

Just need to wait till it’s dark to get on with adjusting.

If that's a 3d printed part mine broke twice with them. In the end he had to order a new headlight and swap the parts over which worked no problem. Good luck

yeah the white ones are - i have been given a revised version of the 3d print and it's made out of a different material so i am hopin these ones don't snap like the one on the right :(
I changed them both in the one unit so finger's crossed!

Well if it's a revised version of it hope they work better but on the material they are made of he said his mate had use the hardest material he could use but hope you have better luck and works for you.

So for completeness sake I’m going to post the one last pic I’ve taken of Noggie before moving him on.

Me and that blue chunky butt had a great time, as documented, and has now been moved on to a keen as a beam younger guy who I am sure will take good care of him.

I told him to. Hahaha.
Props to everyone who has pitched him over the years, you know who you are, and long love the 8L’s! :nogarors4:

Hey guys - it's been a while! This post isn't to say another S3 8L has come to my possession but just an update to the below if anyone is interested.

So... this happened today...

01

There were talks of swaps and upgrades which has been utterly successful. The build thread isn't here but on TT Forum FrankensTTein 3.6 build thread. To get to the part where the project has come together you want to CTRL+F or CMD+F search the word corona which takes you to the link. Many mods and upgrades were done to the black, base model, FWD TT Mk2.

I'm still very much in the 8L gang here in Aus. People are still interested in colourMFA and there a few big builds going on which is great! In the meantime if you guys did want to check it out here's the link again:Black B7:
